RPGnet Forums

Telling people what to do or feel was the biggest problem with alignment. Ever since 3rd, it was made into a "general way of acting with no penalty aside from a few class abilities being lost" kind of thing, and a merciful GM would let you get away with a lot. I let Paladins get away with flat out murder when the bad guy in question has done such awful things that there's no point in a fair trial, he burned down that orphanage and killed all those kids, fuck him.

I think someone involved in making Rifts has that same "you must play it this way" mentality, and we continue to reject it. You can't tell gamers what to do.

I preferred AD&D's alignment system when we got things like Chaotic Neutral Evil, Lawful Chaotic, things like that. Took a third party source for d20 to bring us that.

I liked 3.5's version (then again, that's the D&D system I'm the most used to) and was annoyed with how the 4th edition really dumbed-down the alignment system.

This is why at my gaming group we have a strictly enforced "no politics" rule.

I expand it to religion as well, with the added caveat of "no real world". My games tend to have fun political situations the players get to screw around with, so, game politics/religion, fine, no real world stuff.

RPGnet is one of the biggest cesspits in the hobby in my opinion. I may lurk there to get ideas for campaigns and games every once in a while, but I am so glad I have never gotten an account there. Sadly, as the SJW stuff has become more prevalent, I've lurked less as a result. The gaming discussion almost always degenerates into SJW political wankery.

As awful as Onyx Path Forums can be at times, there's some decent people there and they at least begrudgingly tolerate different opinions.

I just peruse 4pleb tg so I can avoid 4chan. EN World can be pretty decent, but haven't visited them since they said they were going to archive WotC's forum after they decided they hated their fans. Giants in the Playground is still useful for old stuff regarding D&D and Pathfinder builds if that interesting anyone.

Although I think Pundit is a total dick, theRPGsite is actually pretty decent.

The troon holocaust is well and alive in RPGNet.

It must be hard living under such conditions, knowing you could be murderaped by GamerGate at any moment. What do you do for a living, Elven Princess?

That's right. This Stunning and Brave(tm) transwoman is a pro wrestler.

I guess e-begging doesn't pay the bills. Perhaps I misspoke earlier; roleplaying and misery poker seem to be very common games played on this site.

What is it with RPGnet and pandering to transtrender special snowflakes? It's not just them but also SJWs in general.

You'd think if they actually cared about legitimately transgender people, they'd despise the transtrender special snowflakes (like this Becky Elfprincess fucker) for their attention whore antics. If I were transgender (and I mean legit gender dysphoria), I'd hate the transtrenders and consider them a mockery of actual trans people.

Still earns more than Dobson.
"Becky Elfprincess"'s actual name is James Nathan Turnbull.

Elfprincess is also a "writer" with a few short stories on some awful website.

Antifa is quite trendy on RPGNet these days.

And just for fun, here's what their nemesis RPGPundit looks like.

Western civilization survived the fall of the Roman empire, Atilla, the Black Plague, and Reaganomics. We’ll survive a few troons screaming into the void.

So why don't the members of RPGNet go out and beat them some fascists, then? I mean, they're practically condoning those Nazis right now by not beating the shit out of them right at this very moment!

Most people on those forums haven't seen the sun in years, others can only get around on mobility scooters. Not much to fear when you have a Cheetos covered fat kid screaming uselessly into the wind.

I take it none of these people have actually encountered a skinhead, from personal experiance I can assure you that punching a skinhead is a very bad idea for a number of reasons, not in the least because even if you win all you've really done is implicitly re-affirmed their beliefs meaning you've achieved less than nothing while risking a great deal.

The ultimate weakness of violence is that it is a descending spiral,
begetting the very thing it seeks to destroy.
Instead of diminishing evil, it multiplies it.
Through violence you may murder the liar,
but you cannot murder the lie, nor establish the truth.
Through violence you may murder the hater,
but you do not murder hate.
In fact, violence merely increases hate.
So it goes.
Returning violence for violence multiplies violence,
adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness:
only light can do that.

Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.

Or you could just have the characters in your story/game be people who could act in different ways depending on the circumstances and weren't arbitrarily restricted to doing certain things based on what they were assigned at birth.

But that would require not being autistic.

This is funny cause modern welfare systems are modeled after the ones that the fascists made.
