RPGnet Forums

Has anyone here heard of the truly execrable RPG "A Place To Fuck Each Other"? It's a game about two women who want to fuck each other but the situation isn't quite right. The premise isn't great, but the rules are so lazy (and the writing style is so self-indulgent) that it turns what's merely cringe-worthy into an almost FATAL-tier game.
The rules basically boil down to
  • 3 players each make a character with four traits: a character trait, a hairstyle, an astrological sign, and a name (you know, the four things that make up a woman)
  • 2 of those players will roleplay their characters trying to have sex in a situation that isn't conducive to love-making
  • The remaining player is going to describe why it's hard to get into the sex
  • "Play until the characters are content or resigned, or until the players are."

Would it surprise you to find out that the writer, Avery Alder, is a transbian? Check out his game here!

Anyway, the reason I bring it up is because I came across this rpg.net post that I thought was hilarious
Three Transwomen Stream Playing A Place To Fuck Each Other

Unfortunately I checked the YouTube channel in question and didn't find the video, but I did find this
Usually trannies at least pass in their anime avatars

I'm honestly surprised that he hasn't been canceled already more than that rpg.net is turning on him now. He's clearly an asshole, and he's a straight (I think?) white dude, and he's full of machismo
These troons are ugly enough on the outside. But ever since I rewatched Sin City again I just cannot shake the idea that a large number of them are probably just like Junior on the inside.

After the shitty RPG stream is over you are cordially invited to the after-party out in the barn...where you'll scream. OH, YOU'LL SCREAM YOU COW!!

From a thread on the origins of Prohibition. The more things change...
Funny, isn't it, how right wing politics are forever shackled to their past sins, while left wing politics are reborn tabula rasa every generation.
Ackshyually, Prohibition was pushed by feminists, like Carrie Nation, based on the fact that drunkenness actually was a lot worse back then, and routinely resulted in violence against women and children, which was also condoned as something silly and funny and an object of humor.

It was obviously the wrong thing to do, but at the time, it was part of a progressive agenda.

Behold, the mother of all necroes, to point out that Christianity doesn't exist in D&D.
That's a whole thrift shop's worth of puzzle pieces there, chief.

Whenever someone necros an old thread I like to check to see if the op has been banned or not. This one hasn't, but they haven't logged in in over a year either so it's doubtful they'll ever see this.

Meh, I'll give the mods a pass on this one, the banned poster was being rather belligerent and strawmanning the OP. He never complained about the amount of money, he was simply saying it feels like a waste if the games won't get played.

TBH, I don't completely agree with OP's complaint, there's plenty of people who buy games and never actually play them. Instead they mine the games/settings for ideas, inspiration, and mechanics to bring into their main game. But that's not where the banned poster took the discussion, instead they were harping on the cost.

She also got thoroughly pranked by Yalies. She was encouraged to go to Yale for fundraising and speeches IIRC. When getting her photo taken with the bhoys of Yale, in a dark room, they whipped out nooses, beer glasses etc and took up poses reminiscent of drunken unconsciousness. One photo was eve doctored to make it look like she was blowing smoke rings.

This was back in the days when college was a place to laugh at priggish moralizing and self-righteousness, instead of a place to enforce such things.

Mods are cracking down hard on tone policing in the tabletop threads. Lots of users catching threadbans or warnings but I wanted to single out this one:

When you rattle the mods cage so badly they use the wrong color font in your ban. 👌

The post that started this tirade.

Archive of the bleeding heart routine that you missed.

Archived the main event.

And I find it a little bit weird how the discussion devolved into paleontology as opposed demonizing politicians or the American Cavalry Regiments .

Here's part of Law Orc's explanation on why "colonialism" is bad:

The people around today may not have directly committed those acts, but they benefited from them in a million ways, even today. They have the stuff that was taken. They have the money from extorted labor, or the things that were bought with it. They have a society that was built to privilege their interests at the costs of others. None of that belongs to them - it never did. For that sort of thing to be taken away and given to the people who it rightfully belongs to is just plain justice.

Second of all, this isn’t something that happened in the distant past. The legacy of it affects people today, constantly, and will continue to do so in the future. People are systematically disadvantaged by these systems that still exist in numerous ways embedded into the structure of society. They get treated differently. They lack the resources that they would have otherwise had, because the generational wealth that by rights belonged to their families was taken and given to someone else instead, so they didn’t have the opportunities that growing up with those resources brings.

Have you ever seen an article about some young person who has had some incongruous success in, I dunno, real estate investment or Fungible DogeBit or whatever? They always have the same sentence in there, somewhere, that oh, they got some starting money or favor from a parent or family member. So they had starting capital, a better education, more connections to people in power. People in disadvantaged groups don’t have those things, and consequently they don’t have the opportunities that those things provide. This is a continuing injustice, it affects people today and it will affect people in fifty years, a hundred years from now unless someone does something about it, gives people back what was taken from them, so they get to have the opportunities that those things provide.

Third, “How do you address the treatment of the native Americans? You can't give the land back.” Yes you can. Maybe it would be inconvenient, have practical difficulties, but you know what? “Oh, I can’t give back the stuff I stole from you, because that would be a big hassle to me. Haha sorry lol.” is bullshit. It could be done, surprisingly easily, if people actually were willing to do so.

I'll believe you mean what you say when you're handing your property over to the Indians. Until then, you're just another hypocrite preening for woke social status.

Honestly, this stuff actually happens...With the Moors locking homeowners out of their residences and changing the locks all because they forged some documents.

And last year, there was an call for businesses in Louisville, Kentucky to bend the knee.

It'll never happen and deep down they know it, so it's a safe cause to champion.

Besides, if you start talking about giving north america back to the Indians, then the lesson learned becomes "The true owner of the land is the oldest existing society with a claim...so make sure yours is the oldest existing society".

By that logic, shouldn't we send black people back to Africa too?
