OK, now that that's out of the way, I actually like dogstar's analysis. I don't agree with all of it, but I think it'd be worth batting around over a plate of hot wings and a mug of beer. He (or she) has put their finger pretty close to some of the core aspects of the cyberpunk mythos, if not on them.

Of course, as you say, nuanced and thoughtful reads are anathema to RPGnet.

I think it's clear he's also ferociously stupid, a high school Cgraduate could see what Dogstar is getting at here and it obviously isnt transphobia.

What fascinates me is it's a really interesting observation which could be a real spark for conversations about transhumanism vs cyberpunk and the long term ramifications for the forum culture as i. Don't share trans related stuff on social media because it could endanger trans people.

Loudly talking about women with penises / men with vaginas. For one a lot of trans people are uncomfortable with being described in that way, oftentimes due to bottom dysphoria. It also worth mentioning any trans person on HRT or who has had SRS is likely to have stuff down there work differently, so sometimes it's not relevant, as they have special health needs different from cis people. The way these conversations go oftentimes feels like trans people are constrained by their sex at birth when it comes to these convos.

Don't talk about trans people's genitals (even if that's all trans people talk about) because they probably don't work anyway lol people are more than what's between their legs maaaaaan.

Asking for pronouns is good, but make responses optional and read the situation. I have seen a lot of other trans people complain about this. Some trans people are not out, by making them share pronouns they either have to out themselves or misgender themselves. Others are still figuring stuff out, give them time to do that instead of making them pick right now. Also depending on context of the situation don't ask someone you already know the gender of their pronouns. I know it's kind of one of those vague social skills and you can't be perfect. But again I have seen trans people who say they sometimes feel singled out when asked this question in some situations.

Advertising things as for "womxn or femmes" as an attempt to be trans inclusive. Trans people are not "women-lite". Trans men aren't women and some trans people don't see themselves as women at all. Being afab does not mean woman. A better more inclusive term is "women and women aligned people" as women aligned let's the individual decide if they apply rather than picking which groups do or don't belong. Like wise don't say women and trans women, trans women are women, you want to imply trans inclusiveness, just say your thing is trans inclusive. On a side note, include trans men and non-binary people in men's things.

I have trans friends. It's a lot like saying like you have black friends, which kind of is an iffy thing to say. Especially don't like out your trans friends too though and please just in general respect people's privacy. Don't make a big deal when you see a trans person or just start asking the about it. Don't loudly declare how you totally see trans people as people or whatever. (I'd hope you treat trans people like human beings, not something to brag about)
