RPGnet Forums

So just for fun, after that, I decided to look at a few of the mods for fun.

BCAugust: 2006 - 3,837 or .5 per day
BethDragon: 2003 - 13,906 or 2/day
Tanka: 2005 - 16,277 or 3/day
Zeea: 2002 - 24,441 or 4/day
CrazyIvan: 2002 - 29,751 or 4/day
Dawgstar: 2004 - 37,556 or 7/day
Q99: 2003 - 49,690 posts or 8/day
The Wyzard: 2005 - 76,391 or 13 posts per day for the last 16 years!

Also, the always embarassing Matt.Ceb has a mere 35,925 posts since 2004, a mere 6 posts per day.

God, that's really a Who's Who of "would not expect them to be a mod" 5+ years ago.

Here's the link to the Mystara 5e book that RPGNet censored. Free from the writer who didn't want WOTC shitting it up with woke garbage.

So much for the worker owning the product of his labor, eh comrades?

Here's some quality black comedy. Save-vs-Firewater slaps down a poster for unkind language in a thread where the OP who had solicited opinions on Shadowrun just over a week ago is already permabanned from the forums. Talk about fast turnover.

That's actually Mr. Welch. Yes, that Mr. Welch. He's been on a one-man crusade to resurrect the shrieking, Frankenstein's monster of campaign settings that WotC keeps chained up in the basement. He explained the process here.

“You have a point but take care that in expressing it you do so in a manner that isn’t needlessly agressive and dismissive” is maybe the most hypocritical thing I’ve ever heard an RPGnet mod say. Especially for a post that is mildly snarky at best.

"What is permissible for Jupiter may not be permissible for a bull" is one of the unwritten rules you have to learn to post on RPG.net. Your lords and their clique may abuse you as it pleases them, but as a serf you better dare not to show disrespect to your betters - and your betters get to define anything you say as "disrespect", especially if you are on their hit list.

Welcome to the Anti-bully Nirvana, where only people we find disagreeable are bullied.

Just like regular bullying.

The Japanese tabletop RPG for Goblin Slayer is being translated to English. The thread for it was memoryholed in seven minutes.
Welcome to rpg.net, the site known for giving a mocking review of that turd of an rpg FATAL.

WE CANNOT EVEN DISCUSS THE GOBLIN SLAYERS RPG, EVERYONE IS TOO TRIGGERED BY IT TO EVEN JOKE ABOUT IT IT'S LIKE LITERALLY KILLING PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And of course they didn't edit the link back in, or at least give a courtesy notice of it being legitimate to re-add it. They say you can't hear gnashing teeth in written words - well, read that mod notice again.
You forgot the biggest sign of seethe of all. It wasn't the original moderator who admitted the ban was in error.
Most sites I'd give the benefit of the doubt on this. Rpg.net you just know they threw a hissy fit and refused to put their name to the ban reversal.

Damn, how do you become a rpgneet mod? I honestly feel left out of that wholesome, playground-bully fun. Wake up in the morning, drink coffee, snort a line of Vyvanse then obsessively seek out the pettiest infraction possible, spending the next hour writing a schizoidal 3-page finger-waggling manifesto for a 1-line shitpost.

Next morning verbally beat the appeal to the warning, issue out a ban and those idiots come for more screaming harder daddy!

There was a 30 second (attempted? I can no longer remember) rape scene in this anime to show that the cruel, evil monsters are actually evil and behave like cruel monsters…. So no one is allowed to even talk about it!

It’s not pro-rape and the rape scene isn’t even particularly tittilating. It’s supposed to make you uncomfortable, not turn you on. As much as I think their Shield Hero ban is idiotic, at least that one is logically consistent.

It wasn't even thirty seconds, it was like five. Enough to get the point across about what was happening, but it wasn't some porn scene. They're completely allergic to anything being depicted as happening to women, no matter how utterly shitty the surroundings are. Clearly women can just wander around downtown Kabul in a bikini now and nothing bad will ever occur, it's unthinkable that a place that's Satan's festering asshole might harbor sexual assault towards women, or that a creature that is purely malevolent will have no compunctions about doing a horrible act.

Thing is, in the moments before the woman is raped, the anime actually spends more time showing the guy in the party having his arms and legs held down by goblins while other goblins hack and dismember the shit out of him. Horrible, brutal murder: RPGnet sleeps. Awful things might be rapey: REAL SHIT.

I've always thought it's kind of lazy to use rape as shorthand for EEEE-vill, but these retards take getting a case of the vapors to a new extreme.
