I remember reading a lot of kvetching over the past few years about how Putin and Xi are huge threats to the Western “rules based order”. They always put it out there like the West exists within an orderly world Government, or at least community, which enforces impartial rules. Watching the recent Israeli attacks on Iran, and the eagerness with which Western countries have run interference for Israel, it’s got me thinking that the “rules based order” is just vapour. What exactly are the rules? It looks like the only rule is “American military might makes right”. Any country without nukes is clearly a sucker and a pawn.

The only rule is: "You listen to the USA on what to do, and if you think you are smart by pretending to listen and keep going against the USA, then get ready for a regime change". USA primarily wants a quiet status quo for the sake of keeping the petro dollar.

These days, West has less rules than other places.
Nowhere outside of the Anglosphere (and maybe a select few Western European nations) would violent riots, looting and unchecked illegal immigration be allowed.
Something like the Floyd Riots would be stopped on day 1 with tanks and machine guns in most countries.

Say what you want about Putin and Xi but their nations under their leadership are "rules based societies".
You might not like the rules but the rules are there and they're being enforced, unlike in Anglo countries.

Please. As bad as the US is (and it is), pretty much every other country on earth is 10 times worse when it comes to bribery, corruption, and favoritism. That absolutely includes Russia and China.

That’s because there isn’t a word for law or rules in Russian. The closest transliteration would be ГУНТ which means “foolish concepts”

You are just finding out that the US is indeed an empire?

Rules based order means "We make rules and demand everyone adhere to them. Rules can and will be changed whenever we feel like it, can be ignored by us and our allies but you better fucking do as we tell you, or else". It worked in the past but the political, diplomatic and economic decay led to the situation where kvetching is all they have, because no one sans their own vassals and serfs (and even those started rebeling) cares anymore and do as they please.

You just know that those people are absolutely livid at both Russia and China having a seat at UNSC. UN being as useless as it is, it gives some semblance of authority (see bombing of Serbia because "its not in UN therefore its fine") to their voices. You just know that if they could they would have both ejected, and anyone deemed unworthy (ie anyone not sucking dick hard enough) expelled from UNSC rotating seats. One can be thankful for american hubris in the 60s and allowing the True China getting the UNSC seat.

Nah I think if China and Russia didn’t have a seat at the table it would be (too obviously) just another meaningless club of US sycophants. If China and Russia didn’t have permanent membership on the UNSC why would they even acknowledge it? Their continued presence is also their continued acknowledgment of its legitimacy.

Everyone's arguing about *which* gang is more hypocritical about its "rules", but the real issue is that all governments operate on legalized aggression

There is no such thing as a "rules-based order"
There are "rulers" and there are "subjects"
Governments don't obey rules, they enforce them
and that's the entire scam

They define legality as whatever serves their interests, and every resistance gets called "criminal" or "terrorist"
There's no objective ethics whatsoever behind their whole concept

A real "order" that deserves to be called as such would be one that's grounded in property rights, voluntary contracts, and the non-aggression principle
But that would mean the state can't exist
So instead what we get is this farce where nukes = legitimacy and morality = whatever today's Lügenpresse (lying media) release says it is

tl;dr the "rules-based order" is just protection racket jargon for "do what we say, or else"
and shit is collapsing precisely because people are starting to realize they never consented to any of it

It's called monopoly of violence it's not that complicated, governments seek to concentrate supply to enforce themselves it's very basic "me hit you with rock" stuff really. This is because violence or the implication of it is the only way to establish human organization beyond kinship groups.

Not really. At best you can argue that they don't have retarded unwritten social justice laws that can get one cancelled. BUT the alternative is a 1984 style "How dare you cooperate with our most hated enemy Eurasia/Eastasia!" that will doom both you and your family to re-education camps (at best) no matter how loyal you actually are.

Eventually governments collapse. Only thing remaining after is kinship group, which the globehomos are trying their damnest to destroy.

Yeah that's because states have a bad habit of treating violence as a speculative asset, hence the current prevailing trend of anarcho-tyranny, this happens cyclically through history, the collapse thing is the correction until a fresh supplier establishes dominance, it's all very free market.
