Is this still an Epic exclusive? They're kind of shooting themselves in the foot now. Nobody's going to want to buy their shitty DLC on a store they only begrudgingly used in the first place for a game that was an absolute disaster.

Only four months into their one year exclusivity deal. Hope them V-bucks were worth it Volition new Gearbox staff.

they killed a franchise that "chuds" liked it and made some money off it, of course they think it's worth even if it means working for Badass Randy, wait, i think they might consider it a blessing if you pay attention to snorelands writing.

No wait, Randy will go out of his way to fix something that's already broken.
And when I mean by that, I mean he'll destroy the franchise even more. Borderlands' writing is straight up terrible because he has no idea how to properly do story or character that it's *snicker, snicker* Borderline laughable.

Tehsnarkerer put out a preview of his next video.

I typically enjoy this guy’s videos. They’re long video essays that are half the time games I’ve never heard of, but he does interesting research on them and has a good sense of humor in his delivery.
Honestly, watching the video essays of over analyzing a “reboot” that should not have happened when one looks into how this game was cheaply made by disrespecting the old vanguard and fanbase that loved and enjoyed the game series is more introspective and entertaining than playing the actual game.

Of course, that’s just speaking the obvious.

Imagine buying a season pass for unreleased DLC and expected to pay $10 for Christmas cosmetics.

Hell, imagine buying that game at full price.

His video is out:

Edit: Timestamped to skip the parts that are in the preview.

Mack/Worth A Buy named Saints Row 2022 the worst game of the year and explains why he picked it over other titles
[There] can be only [one worst game]. We'll get rid of Need for Speed; that wasn't the worst, had half-decent driving. We'll get rid of [Autobahn Police Simulator] even though it was easily the worst, but it was only 20 quid; some of these f**kers are 50. We'll get rid of Shadow Warrior 3; it was garbage, but not utter garbage compared to some of the others. We'll get rid of... Evil West, even though I don't wanna, that was terrible. Uh, we'll get rid of, uh, Callisto... We'll leave this between Saints Row, Rainbow Six, and [Ghosts of Tokyo], guys.
Yeah, I think them are the three worst out of- they're all worst, they're all bad; I could give it to anybody, just shut me eyes and pick a number, Mack. God, Rainbow Six was just garbage, garbage!
Um... Saints. The characters, the characters! It's- I'm giving it to Saints. I'm giving it to Saints. Guys, Saints Row had nothing going for it, it had the worst story, the worst characters, awful AI, terrible driving, it was just an a- and it was 50 f**king quid. [It] was an insult to f**king gaming, it was an insult to Saints Row, it was just an insult, it was- that game is a f**king insult, guys. So there you go, guys, the biggest pile of runny diarrhea in 2022 on my channel is Saints Row. Utter garbage. Shame.

Evil West
Christ, talk about bad if this game is worse than that. I played a shall we say... preview copy and was one of many who ran into a gamebreaking progression bug just over halfway through the game. Coincidentally, that mission also had some of the worst localization I've ever seen outside of Japan, being titled "A Man of People" and the intro description using the term "tissue of lies" instead of what I can assume is supposed to be "veneer of lies".

The best part of all of this? That station wagon with the Christmas tree? That's an existing Easter egg in game. It's a national lampoon reference you find wrecked in the desert. That station wagon itself, while not found in game as drivable, is just a wagon version of an existing car in game with mild tweaks.

That's means the only part of that $10 DLC that comes close to being substance is literally an in-game asset being sold to you

And yet I bet the writers still think their self-inserts are great and will soon be considered underrated gems.
I actually went back and played a bit of DMC and TLOU2 to make sure and yea Abby and not Donte aren't anywhere near this bad.

In fact I'm pretty sure no shirt guy and gay faggot Urkel are the worst and most annoying videogame characters of all time. The only reason I didn't lump car lady and the Boss in here too is car lady doesn't have much dialogue and I made my boss look like Mitt Romney so the shitty quips actually were sort of funny coming out of his mouth.

Someone has to pretend to care about waffle makers and “capitalist societies” while still receiving useless degrees in loads of student debt and whining about it on Reddit using their iPhones.

So this game was a comical critical and finantial failure.

Bankruptcy arc when?

Edit: Apparently they shut down and fused with Gearbox. Fitting I guess.
