I'm seeing lots of empty space in this world. That's a problem.
They need to stop marketing that particular character preset as "the Boss." Many people thought "you cannot even create your own character?"
These four friends " are people that I'd want to invite in my living room." If I wanted that, I'd go on campus.
I'm hearing a lot about "being you" in this game. Building your own criminal empire. Why couldn't they establish that as its own? Choose HOW you want to be lucrative outside of missions. Drugs, arms, cars, legitimate affairs, a mix. Design your OWN tags to at least spray around in enemy turfs. Even customize your gang like in Saints Row 2+3.
Want to be a brawler gang style? Guns blazing? Stealthy? Wacky? Saints Row IV let you tailor your combat style with the superhero powers and weaponry.
No, they design the art style and approach for you. Missed opportunity right there.

The second trailer did all of nothing with a side of sweet fuck all to make me interested in this game. At best, I may buy it a year or two after it releases when it's on sale. Why oh why did this motherfucking current year politics bullshit have to pollute Saints Row? Isn't all the other classic franchises from the mid to late oughts/early 10s being either dead or ruined good enough for the faggots pushing this shit?

Gat was bitching about it early on and saying how far the Saints have fallen, if I remember right. He really only stuck around out of respect for Playa/Boss.
There is no doubt in my mind that these fucking characters are based on the faggot employees in the second trailer that were talking about how "badass" the game is. They're absolutely self inserts.
