If you're familiar with Salon, we all know it's a terrible website. If you're not familiar with Salon, it's basically a "news" website that instead of delivering any worthy news stories, it's the same thing all over again. Social Justice pandering. Useless moaning from their "journalists" about their life. Articles on white privilege. Articles on why guns are bad. Articles on having huge class envy. It's pretty much a leftist circlejerk. But what makes this website a whole lot worse is some of the shit they do and their contradictions.

However, Salon hasn't always been horrible. In their start up days, they used to be a pretty respected website. Back then, they cared about issues such as freedom of speech and expression, journalistic ethics, and not pandering to crowds. While they still might've had some hard on left wing views, it can't be compared to what they have today with their continual pandering, white guilt, and identity political crisis they suffer from.

- They love black people, and people who aren't white, yet as of October 2015, have a grand total of two Asians writing for them, and Arthur Chu is one of them.

- The other Asian writer gave weed to her autistic son in the hopes that it would cure it.

- The white "journalists" for Salon are well known for pulling the race card at every chance they get.

- They worship Lena Dunham like a god.

- Salon is popular with fedora tippers from /r/atheism for their equally large hatred for Christianity.

The strongest example of Salon being Salon in my mind is probably David Sirota's article on hoping the Boston Bomber is a white American, and the follow up piece Sirota also wrote. Of course, as we all know, the Boston Bombers were white Americans. But in the world of Salonthought, all Muslims are only ever a bunch of darkies being repressed by the white man.

In fact, I imagine the single best place to find weapon's grade leftist bullshit on Salon is probably their articles on Islam in general. Occasionally something will happen that's so horrific even a good number of Salon's libtards can't defend it, but you'll usually find at least a few people doing things like defending Garry Trudeau for his justification of the Charlie Hebdo murders.

"Something that a lolcow likes" is not the same as a lolcow. Salon is one of many shitty internet news sites, and is not interesting enough to warrant a thread.
