salt thread

Biggest time I raged out/got salty at a game was probably GTA: Vice City. Got it when it was new, and lost so many fucking times at The Driver mission. Fuck you, Hillary, you fatshit four eyed faggot...

That was a brutal mission, even if you looked it up online for help it was still unfair.

I remember getting extra salty as a kid at ocarina of time, there was some bonus thing you could do to basically run around a section of the map in, I think, 60 seconds or less, and it was insanely hard, you had to get real sweaty.

You can use the horse for that, makes it way easier

I played League of Legends back around its prime between season 2 and around the middle of season 4. So salt is just a natural thing you develop when you try to play League of Legends even remotely to win and you'll know why if you basically ever played League of Legends. Though I can honestly say that attitude has stuck with me to some degree in just about any video game I play. So I naturally am prone to some salt or tilt in any video game when things start going south or some bullshit hits me.

I think some of my funniest salt moments recently was trying MH:W as my first monster hunter, I played lance to help give me an edge of safety when I was learning the bosses, and whenever some monster would piss me off I'd be prone to lance charging straight at it and try to bash its head off. When I was with friends I'd just run after them and shout at them to get back here while I lance charged towards them, bonus points when I tink into a wall and ruin all my momentum both in game and my salt momentum.

-getting stunlocked in demons souls and losing EVERYTHING, especially in shrine of storms at the cliff with the rolling skellies and the flying manta rays that gangrape you with spears, and the enemies that suddenly drain half your health bar in one hit in 1-3 of boletarian palace, and the walkway in anor londo in dark souls with the archers

-trying to beat the resident evil remake without saving and lisa trevor instakills me

Crash 1’s The High Road (both on PS1 and PS4) made me quite the saltine. Well that and those goddamn dropping platforms in Gutsman’s otherwise easy Megman 1 stage.

Try dual blades, from experience they’re the most rushdown-friendly weapon in the game or use sword and shield if you want a nice rushdown/defense balance

Having fun in multiplayer usually requires the other guy to not be having fun.
Unless it's those goddamn brazilians and their shitty internet, they are soulless monsters and can get fucked.

Anytime I'm playing a F2P game and killed by a P2W player, a little salt falls outta my pocket.
Haha git gud nub.

anyone get salty? been the victim of salt? online or singleplayer, i want to hear your tales of video gaming salt.

I get salty at fags on my team who die first with no assists and sub-500 scores who bitch incessantly on voice chat about how the rest of us are losers (I only play Crossout atm and pretty rarely at that) and then sit back and watch me and another non-faggot carry the team to victory. Other than that, no not really.

I get a fair amount of salt from people who don't like my quad Fafnir/Small Track/Torero cabin build because they think it's easy to get 6 kills with a glass cannon at 7.5K PS. Do they take into account that I have no armour, no stealth module, no radar detector and use my highly explosive generator as a gun-mount? Of course not, because they're salty little bitches who think they should just be able to slap a ton of armour on some Goliath treads with dual Mammoths and be invincible.

Did anybody understand what I just said? I'm not sure I do.

Edit: Made the crossout link slightly less cancerous.

I revel on salt, that's the main reason I grief or smurf every online game I ever play, makes this horrible word worth living.

this one time i jump in mario and he go down the pit on last life :(

Heh, I remember when I was playing Super Mario Galaxy 2 about 10 years ago, I struggled a lot with the first Bowser Jr. boss. After finally, finally beating him on my last life, my nunchuck stopped responding and dropped me into the black hole when I was one platform away from getting the star. This was still the point in my life when I was an angry-ass sperg, so I promptly chimped out hard until Papa Hitler made me take a breather.

I was also really into Guitar Hero/Rock Band around the same time, and I tried to get 100% on every song on every difficulty, and I was more successful with some songs than others (Fuck you Abnormality, "Visions" is an ass song even by Death Metal standards.)

I'm still salty about the update that changed the way LP was gained in Haven and Hearth. The devs destroyed that game.

Salt's great. I'm aware though I'm a fuckup on some things. So I try to not get salty. But I get salty when I play FFXIV or ESO and the fucking tank (I play healer because I'm a masochist or some shit) or DPS decides: "Fuck the mechanics. I won't draw shit. La la lalalalal.." and then a TPO. Fuuck.
