That YouTube video was uploaded 17 years ago. There are only three comments on the video. One was from 16 years ago and the next was a comment from Sam that he left 14 years ago. The last comment is a response directly to Sam that was left only two years ago by a user called TrustFund1844 who left a personal message to Sam. It's extremely obvious who left that last comment and I hope it doesn't go unnoticed.

I am wondering if these videos are from people he knew IRL in some way. The comments don't seem creepy, they seem trollish but also not completely random. For example the "killer bod" comment that seemed creepy and random ended up being to a girl he went to college with and knew personally.

For those unfamiliar with the surf industry, no shaper is self taught, nobody would ever buy a board from a shaper who cant even surf, shaping is low margin, super labor intensive, and it takes years of building (generally as a low paid assistant) thousands of boards before shapers start making their own designs. Creatively, absolutely. The vast majority of his streams are unwatchable to me, but he would never stop doing it when playing daddy on stream pays so well. It's funny to see everyone in Sam's circle put the same "$15 chat read" in the corner of every stream like he does, and I guarantee he tells everyone he knows how great it is at making money out of thin air.

A lot of my favorite youtubers have quit making edited videos and doing boring ass long streams instead because it pays more and is less work. I hate the Antichrist.
