they did, the twins have immunity for this exact reason. cant micromanage the whole game if you have cast based elimination challenges.

In the Pep Talk at 2:20, Jet literally told Bashir he had 10 minutes to make a play and that he doesn't have to just accept the results.

After a week of being a fuckin wildcard that was willing to trash people's plants and destroy stuff, he did nothing.
 
Bashir had 2 days to make a move. He did nothing and got eliminated because of it. He could of made a deal with JD or Landon, He could of stole Landons or JD plans and gave it to James. He could of attacked the Longhouse.

End of the day he did nothing and that's why they moved up the elimination time from 7 to 2;30.

giving the power of who to kick off to the contestants means that every time the most antagonistic person will get kicked, removing conflict and turning the house in to a hugbox. people aren't going by "who's most likely to win", they are going by "who's most likely to fuck with me" like emma did.

jet wants the players to have agency so it doesn't get too boring when they don't tryhard, you know what's more boring? having 0 people willing to start shit by week 3. fucking retarded decision that could easily be rectified by something like making the bottom three stox eligible to be eliminated by a player (like someone suggested), or literally any half assed system you can think of. but no, jet can't wrap his head around how to keep the show engaging for the second half after five seasons.

and remember bad decisions like these are not immediately obvious, they become obvious in hindsight when the season is over and you realize how shitty it got toward the end.

I agree that it was partially his fault. He was way too passive and that fucked him over in the end. He had the opportunity to go full Allahu Akbar with the blessing of Production (and Allah) but he did absolutely nothing like a bitch.
