This game is available on Steam, and I'm curious if anyone has played it.

It's a turn-based tactical game, possibly with similarities to games like Fire Emblem or Final Fantasy tactics - though it has tons of content (e.x. over 70 missions, and around 600 different units and characters) - and it's heavily oriented on earning cash and leveling up to build your squads - with units which are destroyed becoming permanently lost. (In that regard, it's probably most similar to Battletech).

Yes. if you are a fan of Gundam, its worth it.
But not for me. 4 universe, (W, Seed,OO, Orphans) the only thing I remotely pine for is W.
The Switch port always crash, the grind is horrible, so you I tend to just put units on dispatch missions till they were lvl 100 (it took me 100 days upon purchase to actually start playing it)
design is retarded because there just so few units here, you mostly unlock them via leveling up and evolving them.
Then, not only that, there's only 2 units worth using in the end, OO Qanta FullSaber and OO Qanta ELS.

its a little better than Genesis due to the fact it has dispatch missions and the fact that you can skip the first part of the stage if you beat the stage.

the last real G Gen was G Gen F.

I have played an extensive amount of this game, most of the stories complete on hard or above.
Havnt played in about a year or so but I highly recommend beelining researching the 00 series suits. Qan-T, Raphael, and Zabanya carried some of my missions hard. Also make sure you focus on the reaction skill for your pilots, it is probably the most important one since it lets you dodge attacks.

Also some of the levels can take above an hour to complete so just be ready for that.
