At least we can make threads about Feralteen in Q&A. Be grateful, nigger.I'm so tired, man. The world’s falling apart. Groceries cost more than rent, wages are stagnant, and everyone’s either mad, broke, or both. Every day feels like two worlds colliding, like some kind of rival nations locked in a never-ending deathmatch. It’s not even politics anymore—it’s just a primitive clash, venting years of frustration.
And we keep pushing forward, hoping things will change. Bravely we hope, against all hope, you know? But now it's like everything we fought for is crumbling. Our freedom’s up against the ropes, and nobody’s even paying attention.
Does the crowd understand? Is this some global conflict? Or is it just East versus West… or man against man? I’m seriously asking—can any nation stand alone in this chaos?
Anyway. I’m fine. Just been feeling that fire lately.
In the burning heart.
Just about to burst.
There’s a quest for answers. An unquenchable thirst.
Stay safe out there.
Some of what you listed we are circling back to and that disturbs me. Specifically education being for the rich only. We’re not full blown there yet but public education has been getting worse by the year. College, at one point in time was free for burger fags, can now put you in debt for life. Some of it is on parents but we can’t deny school admin and boards coddling bad behavior. As bad as things are, I need to remember that living conditions are probably better than they ever have been. 100 years ago it wasn't uncommon for a person to live in a single room in a boarding house with a shared bathroom with no hot water. If you wanted to converse with anyone other than face to face you had to mail a letter and wait. Pandemics were real like Spanish Flu, and Polio. "Mental health episodes" would result in a lobotomy or thorazine treatment. There were more jobs but there were few safety protocols in place resulting in more deaths and injuries. There were actual world wars going on. Education was only available to the wealthy. Cancer was mostly untreatable. Paint had lead in it. Houses had asbestos. I could go on and on.
I don't have to worry about any of that stuff. I have "first world" problems to worry about.
Now they just result in people getting their own special lolcow thread. We're blessed!"Mental health episodes" would result in a lobotomy or thorazine treatment.
Ah, but you are talking about college education. With the Internet today you can learn just about anything you want to know. Previous generations would have to either be wealthy enough to pay for an education or lucky enough that they got access to information. With the Internet, a person has access to almost anything they could want to know. It's like when the printing press was invented and books and literacy became available to the general population and not just the very wealthy. Some of what you listed we are circling back to and that disturbs me. Mental health care is still pretty fucked up in a lot of aspects even without lobotomies.
