Who cares? The US armed forces are well funded so it's not like he's fighting for a fucking Indian army where they are only armed with a curry packet and baseball bats.

Also, if friend literally wants to join the air force, the air force is very safe.

If you want to just live, then join either coast guard, national guard, air force, or any other branch provided you join the reserves.

The only reason to enlist in the military is if you are a troon and need your axe wound installed on the taxpayer's dime. Future president Kamala Harris will eventually deploy the military against small town red state Americans, which used to be the main source of military recruits.
