I don't like my job very much (it's no the worst, and Lord knows I've had worst jobs), and recently I've decided I want to try my handat being a streamer (make lots of money playing video games at home? Yes please!). So should I quite my job, give up a steady (but small) paycheck in this economy on the off chance that I could strike it big as the next big hot shot streamer? What say you my kiwi muchachos, yay or nay?

Oh and Feliz Navidad!

Not unless you have one or both of these things:
A. An established audience, there's a ton of competition in streaming and even a lot of popular streamer/youtubers didn't really gain traction until years into doing it, unless they had help from another popular streamer/YouTuber.

B. A significant amount of money in savings, if you don't have a fan base already and this is gonna be your only income, you're gonna need money to live (unless you're living with your parents) Id say at least a few months worth of living expenses should be enough to keep you going until you figure out if this is gonna work or not, and even give you some time to find another job in case you reconsider.

With all that said, what is stopping you from streaming on your off time? You could stream on the weekends or before/after work, that's a good way to figure out if you even have the chops to be entertaining on stream.

Anyways, best of luck with that.

Is it even possible for normal women to make it as talentless game streamers now without a fully rendered motion tracking cartoon bimbo model and a baby voice?
