Should we outlaw "react" videos?

yeah I actually like it when they 'react' to my stuff, its great..
It gives them exposure.

Probably the overwhelming majority of those people would not have discovered nor watched the original creator, but now that Asmongold gave them a watch, there might be an influx of views, and with it, money.

I assume some of them also may take pride in it, as stupid as that sounds, "Oh my dog! Pewdiepie reacted to my stuff!!".

I have a question... was this whole genre of youtube born out of the like "elders react to hatsune miku" type videos of old? I feel like before it was "giant youtube personality reacts", there were just a ton of videos about normal people reacting to weird things. I might have just been 11, but those were kind of funny and neat.

Probably, I think it's more of a weird homunculus with the commentary community. Because it really isn't just a reaction video, because those were just fun videos where it was someone watching two girls one cup or a screamer or some shit, that were quick and funny with little to no commentary.
And it isn't just a commentary video, because they usually watch the videos before hand to construct an argument and it usually involves some sort of editing, which these don't do.

It's really is just the video form of twitter, where someone just sees something and craps out an opinion. They really don't have any value to them unless you already like the person that's talking, and want more of that.

It's why I can't get into Asmondgold, I think his opinions are milquetoast at best and I didn't watch his other stuff to have any established opinion of him, so his videos just boil down to some random dude saying stuff that everyone else is saying.
