I hate to bring the Real Talk and I also apologise if I'm making a wrong assumption about your sexuality, but.... you don't actually belong with these people. You have by your own statement fixed your perceived aesthetic problem (I have no idea how you looked before and after so I'm taking at face value that you did actually look not-good before). You tell us that you're pretty socially successful. You have college education. You intend to become a dentist, a high-earning, high-status, low-unemployment profession. In short: you can reasonably expect to have no difficulty attracting and keeping partners, if an LTR (even marriage/kids, idk?) is a thing you want in your future. Now, I have visited SH on a number of occasions and these guys? They are fucked, dude. They are almost invariably deranged, invariably first class assholes, mostly broke as fuck, mostly living with mama still. They spend their day posting about how much the hate women with one hand whilst fapping with the other and crying all the time. They are fucked. You do not belong with these losers.

Now, if you like hanging out with them, or you feel a responsibility to try and help them, you go for it. But the harsh reality is that, in terms of life chances and potential, you are waaaaaaay closer to Chad than you are to the average SH regular. I appreciate that before your surgery, you may have identified with these people. Stop doing that. Think of it like this: childless women who are regs on infertility forums leave once they become mothers. There are two reasons for this: it's time, for their own conception of themselves and their social role, to move on from the role of 'childless woman'; and they are no longer able to share the pain of their fellow posters, even if they remember and sympathise with it.

Dude, just think about this for a while. Turn it over in your mind. But please, start thinking of yourself as someone for whom life is going to work out well, because it actually is.
