some incel put a LLM girlfriend and vr into a game and talks to her. She starts nagging him.

I have to say, that first part where she's bitching about not wanting to have to lint roll him again really nailed it. It's kind of fascinating the technology exists to do something like that. I really would have never even thought to combine that shit together like that to go on a virtual roadtrip with a nagging ai girlfriend. It reminds me of all those dystopian science fiction stories that deal with people becoming lost in and consumed by virtual worlds. Dude's way of talking weirded me out though. That weird slow, monotonous shit and the whole thing was a bit depressing. I always find it sad seeing terribly lonely slightly fucked in the head people.

I like how the TTS voice starts out robotic but then starts getting mildly annoyed sounding once he starts telling the bot to take it's shirt off and then it just gets straight up near snapping level pissed sounding but still clearly a TTS voice.

We do live in a mostly just world. Like people can complain that they don't have the partner they want, but you look at this and even a LLM shapes itself to his responses to be kind of a fruitless relationship.

I've experimented with different "AI" quite a bit to discern the capabilities for projects, and I what I noted is that tardwrangling a language model is sometimes quite comparable to tard wrangling a person. When they get an idea stuck in their head it's not sufficient to directly oppose it, or to switch the subject too directly. But what does work is to move with it at first, then redirect and then fill the new subject with enough details that attention is shifted from where it was.

Like I'm sure most people reading it have the ability and experience to do that, which makes listening to a person like this interesting, like seeing someone play basketbal and fumble basic dribbling in embarrassing ways consistently. At the same time this guy had the skill to turn a regular game into a VR game with LLM and the LLM even responds to things the LLM can see within the game space which is quite interesting and doesn't seem like it would be that easy.

Generally I'm just fascinated by this.

I can't stop being mildly confused by the fact that the guy sounds like the old youtube/internet shitpost comedy video character "barty anderson"
Like he's a little deeper at points but his inflections just fucking keep making me envision him just looking like this.

That's because the more you mention something to an ai the more it will focus on it because you're adding more information about it to the ai's context even if you're telling the ai to not focus on it. They don't understand ideas. They understand tokens in their context. The more those tokens appear, the more the ai will focus on that. Like the shit in the video where the ai kept going on about the bump in the road or whatever. The more the dude talked about it the more he was reinforcing it happened and the more the ai will focus on it. The best thing to do is to try and fill the context with other shit the ai will find more important and ignore whatever you don't want the ai to focus on. Like just don't acknowledge or respond to it at all.

When the real world breaks people seek fulfillment in lies. But then again, whose to fix it?

I feel like I'm watching a 2012 comedy machinima video. He also have a interesting truck design... and if I drove past that thing I would probably do a double take to make sure that I wasn't hallucinating.

My face is cringing but I feel like laughing the more I watch this. It's crazy how much AI has advanced in under a decade, to where a retard can argue with a motherboard. :story:

EDIT: Can someone archive this? My yt-dlp is being dumb as hell right now.
Chatbots have been around forever but their recent spike in popularity again due to the "ai" marketing shitshow has led to a lot of funny content for sure. I remember people used to have arguments like this with fucking cleverbot and bonzi buddy over a decade ago now.

Incel Flunks Out With His AI Girlfriend: The Video?

I know there are better AI voices now, what's up with the bog-standard TTS?
I think it's not a 100% bog standard tts given it has some moments of actual inflection going on. Might be trained off audio clips of another TTS or some shit I dunno

This is like a modern-day version of that Façade game from 2005, whose creators tried making it into a real-time interactable VR sim.

Now obviously they were limited by the technology at the time, but it seems we are reinventing this idea using the latest advancements in algorithmic learning which is both cool and concerning considering it'll just feed into some people's delusions even further. I wonder if the Devs of Façade will ever make a sequel for its 20th anniversary using all the new stuff we have now. I wonder how it would look.
