I'm a complete and utter tech tard so I don't know if this is a credible threat (or even what it fucking means) but somebody on twitter was scheming up ways to bring the forum down and came up with this:

"I wonder if anyone has considered a supply-chain attack against KF?
I forget what forum platform they use but I recall their license was revoked, so they no longer get updates. Maybe we could get them to restore the license just long enough to push a very SPECIAL update?

Something that would target just the KF instance of that forum, eating the database and wasting server resources. Slowly so backups are bad too. Or just open a backdoor and let a select few people know. By the time they figure it out they will have more holes than Swiss cheese."

Just bringing it to your attention.

If xenforo was planning on losing all business, potentially getting sued and losing all credibility, sure.

All their other clients would immediately go to their competitors and drop xenforo within the day, if there's a chance they'll destroy your stuff because they don't agree with it. I have never heard of a company going that far, and that's for a reason.

Some individual guy on github basically did that months ago and the fallout from that was already enormous. A company doing the same would bankrupt them, at best.

This type of shit is why I can't take the left seriously. They are happy to use social class and power when its on their side. . And believe me the power is on their side now
