It looks like Generations 2 so I'm decently hyped for it. Generations was probably the best modern Sonic game I've played, and as autistic as it is another good Sonic game isn't a bad thing at all.

That's the point. The last main franchise game was a Mario Galaxy ripoff that was initially exclusive to a system where only first-party exclusives sold well and was mediocre. In comparison, a lot of people loved Sonic Generations and the other Sonic games in it's style, so of course Sega went back to that style.

The gameplay reminds me of the daytime segments in Sonic Unleashed.

As was said above, that is the point.

Looks like another shitty 3D Sonic game.

"Gotta go fast" and the boost feature are probably the worst thing that have happened to the series, try going fast in the original games and you will die quickly , but for some reason, someone at SEGA has a hard on for going faster and faster and its a feature that keeps breaking games.
