Considering Microsoft's Project Helix price is already being rumored to be no less than $1000 on the low end it is not too far fetched than the PS6 will easily be within that same price range. The rumor of the price hike for the PS5 Pro places it at 900 Euros so you can already imagine how much more costly a successor console will cost.

Fortnite, Roblox and Rocket League have been on the top of the charts of most played games on PS4 and PS5 for ages. This is nothing new, the whole reason why Sony has been so hellbent to launch a Live-Service of their own is so they can collect 100% revenue of all micro transactions and not just the 30% cut they get from 3rd parties. Modern Sony consoles' primary purpose is to be easy access F2P game boxes.

If GTAVI looked interesting and not have some guardrails setup, I would buy one just for GTA. But I’ll wait until it comes to PC next year.

Crazy how PC was always looked at as being more expensive and console as budget friendly. Now PC in some cases is looking to be more budget friendly than PC.

Not sure why console manufacturers are trying to cut our budget gamers. It’ll impact sales for sure.

Soyny fans are coping that if PS5 gets another price increase (it will) then the steambox will be even more expensive. Which shows you where their mind is.

What they don't understand is that making a 1080p PC is cheaper than the fauxK upscaling shite that the PS5 does and the PC is cheaper, with mods, free online etc.

The dynamic pricing introduced recently by Sony has the same fans coping that "It will come to Steam", when they fail to understand that Steam games are cheaper on launch day and have discounts regularly AND there are 1,000s of games to choose from.

They are stuck in the mentality of a closed, game-scarce system like PSN.
 
all im saying is boy am i sure glad i got this thing before any potential price increases could've affected it. now i have another system to play games on while ive still a fullish ssd in the meantime

Strap in for a $1000+ console because they just raised the price of the already underwhelming PS5 Pro from $750 to $900

$900. Nine hundred dollars. For a digital only console with the stand that lets it stay in the only orientation that fits on most tv centers sold separately. $900 for the exact same shitass cpu that bottlenecks the base model, but you get even more PiSSeR ai flickering.

In fairness, the rumor never said it wouldn't be global, the guy just had connections with euro retailers.
