When they have to make a unique character they can make one look attractive. When they have to follow how the actor looks (they didn't for Kratos) they somehow make them look really cheap looking. Like those Chinese porn games from the 2000s.
my theory is that all those independent woke girl boss games that releases as a new ip flop immediately and everyone laughs at them so they make a first game to be good and feature a masculine protagonist the second or third game they switch up the entire plot but keep it in the same universe and add the fugly girl boss

I would have never thought that they would make a game based on a minor plot line in GoW and the actress is pretty irl but the model is ugly and in the gameplay reveal they only showed like 2 min of boring fighting with the faggot that played hughie now playing as a cube nobody wants this shit
I can't really see any difference between Deborah IRL and the model, unless it's the dull shots at the beginning of the trailer. The lighting wasn't exactly flattering there.

Not a fan of GoW but even I can tell this game doesn't look like the prime GoW games, it's just a generic high fantasy game with lots of purple glowing energy and Critical Roll-approved snarky millennial writing. It feels like it was conceived in that very early 2020s period when such games were at their peak, and the trend already started feeling very musty and dated right after it started.
Which reminds me that Santa Monica is also remaking the original God Of War Trilogy. They are going to do everything in their power to destroy Kratos' original characterization and everything that made the Greek arc so memorable. This is going to be PlayStation's very own version of Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey.
I don't know about that, it would completely undermine the Norse duology (I guess a trilogy now?). Kratos has to build up to being the Dad of War, after all.

Whenever they make a game with an ugly lead female character in it, it's either genuinely unintentional (and they just can't tell or do better, which is a major red flag about the quality of the rest of the "work" they put into it), or it's deliberate. And if it's deliberate, it means they went out of their way not to appeal to you, or, rather, they went out of their way to make sure it repulsed you. Reward that behavior with positive reinforcement -- don't buy the related product. Clearly they want you to hate it. It's only polite (and money-saving!) to oblige them.
Then play them. The PS2, PSP and PS3 titles can be easily emulated. These are some of the best action games from that generation, it'll help you inform your opinion as to why so many people like them.
