They had 8 figure cars too, but the rates for earning credits was much higher.It's pretty much geared towards whales. Then again you can look back at the previous few titles from the PS3 onwards and they had insane requirements for many other things too like points.
This is some autist from GTPlanet who did the calculations for each game. Yes, the PS3 era GTs were grindy, but had numerous amounts of events and methods to earn credits (like selling your cars) that completely reduced the amount of grind during thier lifespan. Why the fuck does a brand new game not have more events after the main campaign, when its a staple in the franchise?
Even worse, you can STILL grind in GT5 until you're blue in the face because the game won't permenantly sunset in some undisclosed time in the future. GT5 discs aren't a coaster like future GT7 discs. Again, it's always online to force people not to edit their save to avoid the grind, forcing them to turn to the microtransactions for the quickest way to get cars.
It's all to force the MTX, and it is completely unexcusable, especially with thier statements about nerfing credit payout.
