@Marissa Moira The only PlayStation you ever owned was an SCPH-5001 you found in an alley with the disc cover halfway broken off and some hobo peed on it
I deny the hobo piss

But man Mad Catz used to put out some weird shit.

All their stuff would be discounted at Kaybee so for 5 bucks you could get a new controller or some batshit memory card with some claimed insane bunch of space but would always find a way to delete itself when you tried switching the card space selector to different numbers, they knew how to sell shit with clear plastic.

How did you even manage to build up a "PS3 backlog" is the impressive feat here.
Do you have any idea how long it took to play Skyrim on the PS3 and it's DLC without something fucking up and needing to restart from an earlier save?

Hell I played through stuff like Heavenly Sword, Xillia 1 and 2, Symphonia, Graces F, the three Final Fantasy 13s, Dark Souls, Demon's Souls, Dark Souls 2, Disgaea 3, Disgaea D2, Disgaea 4(this was ungodly longer than any other diagea game I've played), 3D Dot Game Heroes, Afrika, Tokyo Jungle(which I got a physical copy of), hell even stuff like Aquanaut's Holiday.

It was still signifgantly weaker offerings than the PS2.

Cold Steel I often associate with the Vita and PS4, but the PS3 versions for both games were heavily discounted and I wound up finishing cold steel 1 on the PS3. I also played through all 6 of the PS3 Atelier games.

The PS5's library is still worlds better than what the PS4 or PS3 had. I mean Lair was a fucking catastrophe for the PS3 and PS4 had Killzone Shadowfall be the game to get for a long ass time.
The PS5's library IS the PS4's library. Backwards compatibility. There are what, 5 PS5 exclusive games out now? Of course, supply chain limitations played a factor into that.

man, I actually really like the PS3, it had a good number of games that are still exclusive to it to this day that got completely overlooked. Sports Champions is, no joke, the best motion control game I ever played, but nobody cared about it at all because Move was very much too-little-too-late, and released at a time when the Wii Remote was seen as old hat and Kinect was seen as this big revolutionary amazing thing (believe it or not). Sports Champions is actually the real deal like you'd see in commercials, you can't even fudge the motions like you can in every Wii game and it works super well, and Sony didn't convey that in their marketing at all, and this was at a time when they were running those Kevin Butler ads that everyone loved

Sony had a nice period of time there in the early 2010s when they were knocking it out of the park with stuff like Move and Vita, but then just not telling anyone how great those were, and then they just kinda languished and died because Sony sucks at getting the word out. They were the only ones to have full, proper Minecraft on a portable platform for a while, but like, just didn't fucking advertise it! And this was when Minecraft was at its biggest! What the fuck!

Tokyo Jungle(which I got a physical copy of)
Oh yeah, that has sort of a secret physical copy by way of:

and it's handily set up with how it mandates installs to your HDD to play those games, so you can just install and play them straight from the XMB on a hacked PS3 without needing the disc

too bad they only did the one volume

What's hilarious is when you try and look up stuff for PS5 exclusives they changed the word "exclusive" to mean only exclusive on this console so they can list stuff like Ghostwire Tokyo and FF7R Intergrade as exclusive even though they are on the PC also.

The Metacritic User Rating for GT7 continues to drop like Kaz's credibility:

And more and more people are making liveries to trash talk Kaz, Sony, and PD for the microtransaction fest:

And more and more articles are coming out about GT7's microtransactions:

VICE

Metro, about the microtransactions, and about the 24+ hour downtime last week.

And even car parts are ridiculously inflated in price:

A new engine for a McLaren F1 costs 9.25 million credits, 1/2 of the price of the actual car, because PD doesn't allow you to undo certain engine and other car part upgrades for some reason.

The Ford GT40 '66 has been added to the Legendary dealer, and costs twice as much, compared to GT Sport.

All the stuff with motion controls and the smaller games with unique mechanics got moved to VR. If you look on the secondary market the PSVR headsets have come down in price somewhat to what they were before (they were in the 400 dollar range), but occasionally gamestop and other chain stores sell full refurbished setups for $150. When they dipped that low I wound up buying a set. Just make sure you get the camera because the set up needs the playstation 4 camera.

I'd say the offerings on VR were way stronger than what the Vita had. Not only that the option to switch from traditional controllers to motion ones gave you choices. Some games worked better with the controller to start.

For every 10 people who complain, there's a single individual that spent more money than them combined and then some.

Speed-reading guides and trophy lists on the Internet don't count as actually playing the games, larper-kun.

I know that's why I play them.

Getting butthurt because your preferred anime game wasn't as good is not very becoming.

The fact that you're playing Atelier instead of something like Trails in the Sky, Cold Steel, or any of the other Kiseki game really shows you're have a very limited view. Like you said Sophie 2 is MUCH harder and is turned based however the fucking Atelier series was never difficult, it just had poorly done difficulty spikes for specific bosses and they were usually extra. Cold Steel allows you for greater freedom top customize your party with a wide array of different builds and strategies using the Quartzes. Atelier still fucking limits you with a bunch of bullshit restrictions until the near end of the game or post game. Gust has not designed systems to allow proper choices when it comes to party make up or even integrating the core aspect of crafting properly that other games have. The old games had the time limit which was poorly handled for the 6 PS3 games and it came off more as annoying than an actual challenge. Most people have experience with the PS3 games when it comes to the series since very few played the PS2 Iris games or even bothered with importing earlier ones.

Like if I showed you this, would you have any idea at all what this is?

If you wanted turn based combat that badly, the Kiseki series is much better at doing turn based combat. Fuck if you want harder turn based games still play Kiseki.

He's actually got ~50 games(2 full Switch screens plus some in a third) registered on Switch but that includes downloads or Xbox Arcade games or whatever Nintendo call it. I've seen it, I did not save the screenshots because I promised and the PM is probably purged. Marissa, the screenshots are clean, you can post them if you want.

I remember this being so on-point because all the marketing leading up to Assassin's Creed was basically like "a game by JADE RAYMOND, thats right a GIRL who MAKES GAMES, shes a GIRL, a REAL WOMAN WHO IS MAKING A VIDEO GAME AND IT IS ASSASSISN CREED" and then that was dropped shortly after the game's release.

Now that its been 15 years, let's face it, she was probably riding the Five Guys Burgers and Fries carousel long before Zoe Quinn to get that kind of attention from game journalists
I remember that being the result of her being misplaced, they tried to make her the public face of Assassin's Creed and it backfired because she didn't appear credible. It was Ubi pandering to the proto-woke in a way. Except without the current insanity. To their credit, iirc, Ubisoft saw the response and changed things up. But at the time I would like to believe that they had their heart in the right place.

She absolutely got her name out there because of this AND that comic in particular, sort of like Zoe Quinn. Except I don't think Raymond is a bad person that should be punted in the cunt.

Nah those include no downloads, those are all physical copies I showed you.

See I made sure to have all titles with a known digital wide release and a limited physical release to be selected because having them inserted meant I would have to have opened the package destroying any and all possible value to the people who collect funco pops.

I don't exactly care about his supposed collection(s) of physicals but it's more that I despise the way he larps as an authority on videogames while his claims (that are flooding this thread and the other ones) are always very vague and plain wrong. I doubt the guy actually played all the videogames he pretends to have, and his consumer autism is likely another way to be labelled as a "hardcore gamer" (or whatever he's aiming at) and validate his clout on the kiwi vidya forum.

For a guy who pretends to have a lot of videogames, his examples of other vidya to discredit one does show a lack of experience. Which again, it's fine to not play a lot of videogames.

Dude having clout on kiwi farms(or any kind of website) of all places is fucking gay. Reddit even fucking proved it this week by getting themselves shelled in Ukraine for fucking upvotes.

Shit talking games isn't clout, it's what everyone who plays games does. There are many bad games out there.

I thought I saw a Contra deeper down. Anyway, show me a physical cartridge Ys 4 on a four tall stack of Tales game.

I agree, I just wanted to correct that point. But I want to see the stack.
