That was a relatively quick change of attitude from Kaz. I guess he's not as prideful as I thought he would be. Perhaps the bad ratings were eating away at his ego. The game is still borked in my opinion. Apparently the menu system and UI doesn't run on the PS5, rather the GT7 servers. I've seen that on many youtube videos of the game, navigating the menus are slow and clunky, not acceptable for a console with a SSD with most of the game's contents installed on it.

It seemed like GT7 getting massive negative press, and people asking for refunds of the game (and a few people even managed to get refunds, despite Sony's reputation for being extremely difficult to get those, as Battlefield 2042 players on PlayStation experienced first-hand), was the breaking point in which Sony told Kaz to stop sniffing his own farts, and do something about the negativity.

That's never going away. It's clear this game is microtransaction mobage for consoles. In order for them to make it a fun offline game, they would have to retool everything (i.e. take out the PTW aspect and actually put in some fucking effort).

The microtransactions, and the upcoming Game Pass answer, seem like Sony wants to double dip on microtransactions with GT7. Compare that to the later Forza Horizon games that are on Game Pass, which only has the Car Pass, VIP Membership, 2 DLC locations, and the Treasure Map (although you can ignore getting this, by looking up maps for the game) as DLC for the game. The older Forza games did have Tokens, which you bought with real money, and allowed you to buy cars and upgrades with them, but those have not appeared in the Forza games since Forza Motorsport 7 onwards.

The only time something like this happened was with Diablo 3 where it was reworked from the RMAH.

mobage shit for consoles currently rakes in the billions unfortunately.

Taking inventory of my PS2 games and I don't own a single one that starts with H, every other letter up to that point is accounted for, what the fuck man

then again it's not much of a selection: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps2/alpha/8-h?region=1 I guess the best PS2 games that started with H and were released in America were the Hitman games and Half Life. Oddly a lot of younger millenial/older zoomer games on that list

Half-Life on the PS2 is an interesting novelty if you're a fan of it on PC. There's a cheat code which unlocks "Alien Mode" that lets you play the entire game as a Vortigaunt so you can blast stuff with lightning and all the NPCs run away from you. They even speak gibberish instead of the voice lines because the Vortigaunts don't understand English.

I'm pretty sure there's at least one Harvest Moon game on PS2 if you're into those and want more stuff beginning with H.

EDIT: The PS2 port of Half-Life also has an exclusive co-op expansion called Half-Life: Decay that never got ported to the PC version, so there's that too.

The number 1 complaint about Playstation's upcoming service is that it won't offer new games day 1, because Sony still wants to sell physical copies and people are disgusted with physical media holding "progress" back.

And then you have people wondering why GT7 could get away with always Online bullshit.

I don't know if it's the same as the PSP game, but Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law is fun. Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life was great on NGC, so I assume PS2's Special Edition has more content.

I haven't tried Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland yet but I've looked into it a bit, it seems good too. I've only heard about Haunting Ground but it is supposedly a cult classic.

Otherwise, that's a pretty short and barren list. Half of them are Harry Potter lmao

Does GT7 still have that awful UI style of an analogue stick simulating a mouse cursor like Destiny and I believe GT Sport did? That shit is already horrible in those games, I can't imagine how awful it would be if it's also running on a server instead of local hardware.

No it's like the old GT games where you have a city menu with icons you switch between, no weird analog cursor in sight. It looks to be rendered on the PS5 itself and has a nice little haptic rumble effect when making selections. I think by run on the GT servers he means that the game is always online so you can't play it offline. I couldn't play the fucker for two days straight the other day because the servers were down.

Or maybe it's because Sony is almost certainly going to charge a fuck ton of money for the service, on top of potentially already paying 60 dollars a year on Plus, and you don't even get new games from it. EA's subscription service is probably going to be less stingy, and that's saying something because they also don't put up new games on day 1.

Maybe it's because I'm used to it, but I was okay with it in Destiny because it was such a small navigation system when selecting planets and changing gear or the options menu. But I fucking hated it in Gt sport. There is so many options and the fact that you had to always select shit. I partly blame that for gt sports mixed reception. It's the little things in that game that add up. After getting gold in all driving lessons, I was done with that game.

They don't seem to be taking away from the baseline of offering free games every month and paid online.

It's known that it has 3 tiers of prices and it's rumored that it may tie into the crunchyroll service in some form.

Hold it friend that's not true.

You're just thinking of the baseline garden variety, but they're looking to go global.

Do you have any idea how many kinds there are? They come in all different colors and sizes. White, Yellow, Curry, Maple, hell even Taco varieties.
The only people that buy PlayStations are niggers who play Generic Basketball Game #120174771741®™ and Yellow Fever fuckers. It's been like this since the PS3

I mean there is such a thing as a White Nigger.

Remember when barely computer literate people were acting like an SSD in a console would be a cure all? Good times.

Sports games you may have an argument, but yellow fever goes back way further

May have an argument?

I'm right bitch!
Well there was a time early on back when the Dreamcast existed that the sports audience was divided and this also effected the PS2. PS1 and N64 also had their share of official sports games as well. PS3 and Xbox360 was the first step in modern consolidation but it wasn't quite as set in stone as it was until near the end of that generation.
