She also looks like a female version of Keith Olbermann

And no, that is not an A.I. made image. This was a REAL picture of a lolcow at work.

Whyyyyyyyyyyyy?!?!

Looking at her Wiki page, for her other video game work she has:

Haven't played any of those, so any comment? Good thing I wasn't looking forward to the game anyway, but man... First EA fucks up Pandemic's work with the Battlefront reboots, now this. Maybe Embracer will sort it out, they said they'd get more hands-on after Saints Row sucked so hard. Sigh...
That explains why the Spider-Man 2018 DLC felt even worse than the main game in some aspects. It's like she didn't know the guy has a Spider-Sense when she was writing it.

She also had the artists redesign Black Cat to look more like her if I remember right... similar to the fit she threw at the original Rivet design.

Are you telling me that PS5 has not managed to outsell the GAMECUBE in jap? Nor did PS4...oof
Nah, PS4 reached a total of 9,433,549 units sold in Japan, as of March 2023, while the Gamecube was a rough four million.
A more depressing fact is that the Playstation 5 has nearly twice the HW sales of the Xbox 360 (1,614,940 units, as of August 2014) but sold far less software games by comparison.

And it's not like vidya sales digital-wise are any better on the PS5, Earth Defense Force 6 proved that much.
I hope the Playstation 5 will teach some people to NOT rely exclusively on hardware numbers as any clear indication of a platform's success in a market.

This whole situation, in regard of Sony & Playstation, has changed considerably the landscape of the japanese vidya industry and where games are being developed to. Not even a year ago, we still had several people who were dead-set on Persona 5 (and other mainline titles) never releasing on the Nintendo hardware, because somehow Sony was guaranteed to have the Persona franchise on some sort of lockdown or another.

Soyniggers are invested on having a PS-only RPG franchise for some reason.

I mean, Xbox's market in Japan is like exclusively hardcore gamers of one type or another (and foreigners, too, I suppose) so it makes sense that they will have a higher attach rate. Anyways, do you have some PS5 gamesales to compare to?

Sure, here is the overall game software performance since the PS5's console release in Japan:
PS5 - JP game sales LTD.png
Again, do bear in mind that Gran Turismo 7 and Horizon Forbidden West are sold as part of the console bundles so their numbers are horribly inflated. You can see plenty of these game copies being sold for cheap in japanese online marketplaces such as Mercari, still warped in the original plastic film. I do want to stress that a game attach rate this low has never been seen in a console's lifespan before, not even commercial failures like the Playstation Vita, WiiU, Dreamcast or Xbox360 even experienced this.

And the PS5 has been topping first place in the japanese hardware sale chart in the last seven weeks, reaching 3 million units now. But PS5 game sales remain more or less the same as when the console was labelled to having "stock issues".
Meanwhile, the hardware sales for the Switch are starting to stagnate but they're not indicative of the end of a generation or a wind-down, especially knowing that the hardware is fundamentally a vehicle for the software eco-system. We're looking at an easy 2 or 3 more years of Switch in the japanese market, which goes in line with early intentions to make the platform a long-term one.

But the real interesting point is to see how third-party japanese publishers (which used to be the main bulk of Playstation de-facto) are reacting, and reviewing their strategy plans, to the gradual shift in the market and the audience's interests. No publisher (regardless of where they're based) wants to forego Japan because the size of the market is still strikingly large for a single country.

Soyniggers are invested on having a PS-only RPG franchise for some reason.
That was Marissa Moira's shtick in a nutshell, be damned if he actually played the games.

Ryan Bloom is a turbo-autist, but he hit the nail on the fucking head in this post:
Ryan said:
In the back and forth of the game industry Sony has been many things. There was a period where, hot off the success of the Playstation 1 and Playstation 2, Sony clearly felt invincible.

This lead to one of the most famous E3 press conferences ever, where they announced the Playstation 3. The original pitch for the Playstation 3 was insane. Sony’s Ken Kutaragi was saying it was going to have something like 7 USB ports and 2 HDMI ports. When they announced the price of $600, they were out there talking about how they wanted the PS3 to be “The Ferrari of Video Games.” They wanted it to be a status symbol, something you needed to work two jobs to afford. If you had a lot of money to burn, you had a Playstation 3.

It was a disaster for them, and they were severely humbled for it. Within a year of launch, Ken Kutaragi was out. It took them four or five years total to really recover and finally get the Playstation back in the right direction. This lead to the opposite direction for the Playstation 4: ironically, all the hubris that damaged the PS3 was passed on to Microsoft, after the success of the 360. Amid swirling leaks that the Xbox One was clamping down on used games, and forcing you to always be online, Sony came out to a roar of applause that the PS4 would be a normal game console. No online limitations, no weird TV or set-top-video features. Just regular video games like you’ve always known them. And the balance of power shifted again back in their direction, making the Playstation 4 the best-selling game console that did not carry the Nintendo logo.

Now back on top, all the people responsible for making the PS4 into this friendly, welcoming, all-inclusive thing have had their roles reduced or they have left the company entirely. And we’re right back to the same Sony that gave us the PS3: The Playstation 5 is a $500 game console with a $550 VR add-on and a $200 “elite” controller. It solidified the trend of $70 being the new normal for game prices. And those $70 games, what is becoming the “Playstation House Style,” are all things that almost seem ashamed to be video games. They’d much rather convince you they’re big budget movies or prestige TV shows on a streaming service. Sure, there’s equippable gear and stats and quests if you really look at them, but the image they project is something “bigger and more important than just video games.”

Playstation is a brand for People Who Can Afford It and are lucky enough that their number comes up during the waiting list lottery. Playstation is a brand that will do the bare minimum to support their back catalog of past-generation titles because they’d much rather you be spending all your money on the newest, full price ($70) products instead of replaying your old PS2 games on the cheap. And if you really, really, really want to play PS2 games on your Status Symbol console? Well, for the low low price of $120 a year, you can experience their mediocre official emulators and the table scraps of filthy retro games they bother to support. As long as your payment never lapses, of course.

It’s kind of gross if you look at the complete picture all at once like this.

Edit: Ironically in the time since writing this post and it getting posted, Sony’s Jim Ryan did something legitimately extremely arrogant, furthering the points I make here.
What is this extremely arrogant thing ol' Jimbo did? Well....

Not a very good look, Jim.

Is it any wonder that the gaming PC market is growing in Japan at unprecedented levels? Persona 5 and other titles from that franchise are available on Steam and it seems that PC itself has become very popular thanks to all the F2P titles like Dota 2, LoL, Fortnite, Path of Exile, etc. Plus countless other Japanese studios, big and small, are porting their games to PC. The foothold of consoles in that territory isn't as monolithic as it was in the past. All the recent policy changes within Sony as a company in relation to the Japanese market has driven a lot of customers and developers away from the Playstation environment.

Jim finally said the quiet part out loud: It’s not enough for Sony to succeed; everyone else must fail.
I don't know why this is just being reported when we have known about this for almost a week lol.

Anyways, Jim Ryan pulling an "I am L" on Microsoft is very funny.
