Sony hate thread

Something I've increasingly noticed in the past year are the incredible amount of pathetic manchildren who seem to enjoy pretending to be some sort of Playstation Rep, adorning their twitter account with all sort of Playstation shit as if they're somehow personal friends with Sony.

I've noticed they've decided on calling themselves Ambassadors, but as a brand I'd probably want these people the furthest they can get from my products. They just get in retarded slap-fights with Xbox "ambassadors" on Twitter.

This is one of the big things I hate about modern Sony and Xbox, there's so much weird pathetic culty shit like this. It's all about making customers into fanatics and products into religions.

Yeah, I started noticing this "Playstation Ambassador" shit recently with reports of people like that trying to spoil Starfield story to piss off Xbox users.

These retards make the old school console wars look like a joke, I think a couple of these guys would die for the brand these days. Sony seems especially thick with it.

To be fair, console wars in general are a joke.

Back then, it was all about the bits and who had the better games, which made sense because not only was technology evolving, but each system had a fucking gigantic library (even "obscure" consoles like the TurboGraphx-16). Even handhelds were diverse and had a lot to offer. The only common agreement with gamers was that anything made by TigerElectronics was automatically shit.

Now, it's a 3 party system with any "indie" company trying to get into the market ALWAYS winding up failing miserably for fucking stupid reasons. Actually 4 if you count the PC, which unlike the other 3 consoles, has been getting exponentially better in the way it handles drivers and compatibility, especially for older games that to this day can still be played by anyone anywhere at anytime. That's not even including modders that help to make games better. Meanwhile XBOX and SONY continue to bash their skulls on the brick wall that divides the two, trying to "one-up" each other with low-hanging fruits that sometimes doesn't even make any sense. Sony can't even say shit because the PS5 has been astronomically awful since it's release. It has no games, and when it does, it fucking cooks itself and melts all its parts. It's basically the RRoD 360 fiasco all over again, with Sony learning NOTHING from the past and even from it's competitors. And then there's Nintendo, who is just doing it's own thing in the corner, and while the company as a whole is not safe from stupidity (franchise rape, TenCent, subscriptions for online play, DLC fuckery, hardware issues, etc...) at least it can claim it has some solid games in the Switch's library.

People who get carried away with sports shit are retards too, people getting deeply emotionally invested in which team of millionaires playing with a ball are the best at playing with a ball will never not seem retarded to me.

Just you wait, those 15 GaaS in development will make billions! Sure half of them already died in development but if they made Fortnite money that'd be lots of money so it was the smart thing to do!

I feel the "console wars" now is just preference between two identical machines. The barrier between PlayStation and Xbox practically diminished with the PS4/Xbox One since the technological differences between the two are minimal. Even then, they had exclusives which would influence your purchasing decision. Now, most if not all their exclusives will just get ported to PC.

I don't see any reason to get a PS5 since all their exclusives will inevitably be ported to PC with varying results. Anybody having a "console war" with those two systems is mentally retarded.

this is nothing new, people have been doing that shit for years, not limited to playstation. the amount of e-girl halo or cod "ambassadors" was something else...
