It's a decent game, but I'm not surprised it's left out given everything else that released this year.Apparently Hogwarts Legacy didn't get any nominations, which is curious.

Depends primarily on what you’re doing. If you’re cutting off at ps1 like I was, than the miyoo mini plus or the anbernic r35xx are a very compelling mix of price, battery life, and build quality in a very nostalgic form factor. The miyoo from my understanding might be slightly easier to work with, but it seems to go out of stock more and it’s a little smaller than the anberic which is already pushing it as far as being almost too small to be functional goes.I wasn't talking to you. I know there a lot of emulators. I was only asking @Takayuki Yagami what he recommends
We know why.Apparently Hogwarts Legacy didn't get any nominations, which is curious.
It wasn't left out because this year had oh so many "good games".It's a decent game, but I'm not surprised it's left out given everything else that released this year.
Well it was also left out for other reasons. It's a decent game, but I'm not surprised it's left out given everything else that released this year.
Because award shows are trying to pick easy targetsApparently Hogwarts Legacy didn't get any nominations, which is curious.
Outside of the obvious, was Hogwarts Legacy anything special?Apparently Hogwarts Legacy didn't get any nominations, which is curious.
It's a Harry Potter open-world game with some OK QOL bits here or there. Surprising amount of mechanics, but with a lot of room to grow for a sequel. 7/10 if you're not a huge fan, 8/10 if you are. The games in GOTY are just superior to it is all.Outside of the obvious, was Hogwarts Legacy anything special?
If Starfield could sneak into one of these categories then so could Hogwarts Legacy. It's a Harry Potter open-world game with some OK QOL bits here or there. The Harry Potter game should be on there solely for all the dilating it caused. I don't think any other game this year had anywhere near the level of cultural impact it had.If Starfield could sneak into one of these categories then so could Hogwarts Legacy.
I would rather get SARS than have to play Starfield. The games in GOTY are just superior to it is all.
I love this post.I would rather get SARS than have to play Starfield.
It was a bad year for games. It was the best year so far of the 2020s, but a bad year overall, and horrendous by 2000s standards.
2005 just swings by and says "Yeah we got GTA San Andreas, Psychonauts, Resident Evil 4, Killer7, no big deal, whatever". Meanwhile, 2022 stumbles out of the bathroom with his pants down, pukes all over the rug, blasts ass all up on my wall, and drops Elden Ring on his way out the door. 2023 got a D on his report card and technically passed, only thanks to Mario helping him. He then points to the many bodily fluids 2022 left for me and says "At least I'm not that guy".
Only if you have an allergy to Japanese(-looking) games, which is certainly the wrong timeline to have this kind of ailment these days. Unlike in the 2000's when there was an actual competition between West and Japan, so it was possible to be picky back then.It was a bad year for games. Yeah, but let's face it, the days of being flooded with AAA Jap games is over, aside from Nintendo. 4th-6th gens were wild.Only if you have an allergy to Japanese(-looking) games, which is certainly the wrong timeline to have this kind of ailment these days. There are been plenty of good vidya in the past few years if you're willing to go out of your comfort zone.
You're not wrong about 2005 being a stellar year for games, but I have to side with @BananaSplit² on this one. Nintendo alone has been throwing out must-haves every few months during 2023, and this is supposed to be the "twilight" of the Switch. It was a bad year for games. yeah it's largely a western gaming industry problem. Not saying the japanese market doesn't have its problems but its nowhere near as egregious.Only if you have an allergy to Japanese(-looking) games, which is certainly the wrong timeline to have this kind of ailment these days. You mean 2007.2010 is easily the best year for games.
2013 was easily the final good year for games. Everything went to shit 2014 onward2010 is easily the best year for games.
Not even closeYou mean 2007.
Yeah I’d agree with that. A good chunk of some of my favorite games ever made come from 2010. Even if there’s a few good games released in current year, none of them compare to the ps3/360 generation.2013 was easily the final good year for games. Everything went to shit 2014 onward
