Graphics-fags are the worst.

All new games should go back to the Atari 2600 era with a 4:3 aspect ratio just to scare them away
gaming is gay but graphics fags are the gayest of all gamers who will keep buying sports slop because MUH GRAPHICS we need to go back to minimalist games that work on toasters

Yet we still see dozens of spergs on reddit praying and hoping that current year woked up Neil Cuckmann-led Naughty Dog brings back Jak and Daxter someday...

The thought of fun hating current year naughty dog making a new Jak and Daxter..... Ewww.
Daxter is one of the most funniest characters ever created (especially in Jak II) and is too funny for our current year world.
Just go back and replay the trilogy. They are still among the best games ever.

There hasn't even been a big leap in graphics for ages now, anyway. It's all been incremental since Gamecube. Lots of little things like sharper shadows and more geometry on-screen all at once, sure, but a nicely stylized game like Super Mario Sunshine could release today, 22 years later, and no one would say it looks like shit.

Seeing the Xbots seething in the replies is even funnier than the video itself.

Gentle reminder that even though the year started a month ago, I still have yet to see anyone in real time claim to be an owner or a fan of the PS5 Portable.

Meanwhile, Stellar Blade is getting the right kind of attention that The Last of Us: Part II wished it received: An actual organic fanbase that is not entirely comprised with corporations that give the illusion that Neil Druckmann and company have saved the gaming industry at large.

Much like the Japanese version of Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth, I do hope Stellar Blade does well and that Yoko Taro continues to not cave into pressure.

I can't wait for journos to bitch and moan about Stellar Blade because of its "uninspired story".

Maybe for now, but wasn't long ago at all that the "based japs won't ever bend the knee" crowd were so sure. All will suck the girldick.
the based ones won't, the one in it for the money will (just like western companies). I've said it years ago that the western amount of possible dollars will look attractive to some nip companies, which will lead to changes in business and products. however games and media are a bit more fickle than that, the moment you adopt it to a "global audience" and "larger demographic" it will eventually become more slop, which is even more noticeable for japanese media.

however blackrock money is tigher now, as is the economy going down the drain. even the DIE is shit is on a slow death spiral in the west (in part due to said money running out, and long overstaying it's welcome). in the end the market is gonna correct itself inevitably, and lot of companies produced shit with no market. eventually the japanese companies trying to get in on the DIE train will see the same effect western companies do that their games are less successful and at some point will be overshadowed by non-pozzed alternatives made far cheaper, even more when you still got an industry that's not fully subverted with creators that go "lol fuck no". you'll get retards like the ones at digital foundry kvetching about it, but everyone knows by now what "critics" say is completely retarded anyway, they pissed away all that capital over the last years, and normie sheep mostly buy what looks good, not ticks of some arbitrary checkboxes.

TLDR: look at forspoken's sales vs stellar blade when we have the numbers. should speak for itself.

The number one important reason why I cannot stand graphic fags is that not only do they, like you mention, only buy sports games, but also that they only buy interactive movies rather than playing games acting as if these said interactive movies are a great value, you know, just like a fast food item from like McDonalds, Burger King, Subway or Taco Bell.

I'm expecting games to be more like something from the late-70s/early-80s. Not just Pong, but just very old school arcade games such as Pac-Man or Galacta

Rumour: A New PlayStation Handheld Console Reportedly in the Works

Archive
They have to be absolutely retarded to do this - so, of course, there's a non-zero chance that they're going to do it.

Edit: grammar
PSP will the only good Sony portable console. Sony tried with PSVita early on until it ended up floundering itself with its PS4 comparison shit, and this new handheld console Sony's implementing is nowhere as different as what they did with the Vita

At least Vita had a small selection of games and an active hacking scene. This thing will probably be restricted like an iphone just to prevent evil piracy.

And that's one of the reasons why it failed. It was too easy for people to hack the device. Funny how Sony is just as big of a company as Apple, yet somehow Sony just didn't give a shit with piracy

PSP was easier to hack yet it was much more successful than Vita.

Arguably Sony's efforts to make the Vita difficult to hack inhibited sales significantly. They went with a proprietary storage format which was intentionally smaller than MicroSD to make adapters impossible, and that proprietary card was very expensive and created a big barrier to entry.

I feel that dedicated handheld gaming is on the decline thanks to smartphones and cloud gaming. Nintendo is the exception to this based on IPs alone. I don't trust Sony with handheld gaming with how the Vita performed. Explain the PSTV then since not every Vita game supported PlayStation TV.
