I'm gonna go to bat for the Sam Raimi trilogy (yes, even SM3) and the 90's Spider-Man cartoon, and maybe a couple of the SNES games (plus of course MvC1-3), but that's pretty much it from the entire franchise.

And I don't think it's even possible for anyone who grew up with the show to not still feel some hype from this opening, that song is still pretty epic.

Anyway, Spider-Man was cool as a kid but I only regard it as a slice of nostalgia now. Even if the new Spider-Man games/films were good I'm just not really interested in superheroes anymore, but I still don't like seeing Spidey sodomized by Wokeists, that shit is fucked up.
I'm going to put the comics up until the early-mid 2000s in there too. There's a reason the character became popular.

What was once the story of a young man wracked with the guilt of losing his beloved uncle through his own inaction, and trying to do the right thing in his memory while trying not to tear apart his own personal life, the "with great power must also come great responsibility" theme that was the basis of the whole thing, has now become nothing but a "teehee I'm so random lel xdddddd" projection for retards who engage in nigger worship.

People are trying to say that means will be smaller ips and new ips, but those people are dreaming. At most we will get another remaster or two, and maybe one of the GAAS shit they have already announce. If they had something of note for this year, we would already have heard about it by now.

I would be fine with a year of smaller AA games, in the past that is some of the stuff I've liked most from Sony, but Sony has been dialling that back since the PS4, with it being non-existent on the PS5.

PS5 Entering ‘The Latter Stage of Its Life Cycle’, Sony Says

After sales of the PlayStation 5 failed to meet expectations, Sony has said the console is entering “the latter stage of its life cycle.”

Sony had set an ambitious target of 25 million PS5s sold during the current financial year ending March 31, 2025, but has now revised its forecast down to 21 million after PS5 sales during the crucial holiday 2023 quarter came in lower than expected despite aggressive promotions. Sony sold 8.2 million PS5s during the third quarter of its current financial year ending December 31, 2024, up from 7.1 million sold during the same quarter the previous year, but that was not enough to hit Sony’s lofty target.

I feel like this console generation has barely begun, but I guess its been years. We will never see a boom of games like we did in the 2000s again will we?

Damn right. PCbros and Nintendobros can't stop winning

I'm sure they'll release something big in 2025, only to have it completely overshadowed by Grand Theft Auto VI.

But PS4 games are still coming out! Big ones! Not just sports games and oddball Japanese titles.

Switch has been a good ride.

Re: superhero movies, they were inoffensive when they were more rare. Sometimes they were even very good; back in the day you had Batman 89, Batman Forever, Blade, Spiderman 1&2, might even throw in Hellboy 2004 as something I enjoyed. That's 15 years and maybe a superhero movie I enjoy every few years.

Then they just became very frequent and then nonstop and then replaced virtually all kinds of cinema. I was done by the time Spiderman 3 came out and stank like a wet fart, I don't understand how audiences kept showing up for the slop.
