Because it’s an actual video game. I don’t really care for monster hunter, but I have respect for the games. They do one thing, and that’s gameplay. That’s what video games are about.

I agree. Slow moving character, weapons swing like you're in treacle, towns that are autism overload of weird shit, spend 80% of your time with the character laid on its back or chasing a monster through some woods on horseback.

Not my kind of game but my brother loves it.

@trent Modern Monster Hunter yes. Monster Hunter from Freedom Unite to Monster Hunter Ultimate 3 was fucking amazing but starting with 4 they started making the games less about strategy and memorizing boss patterns and more about ridiculously long health bars and spamming the attack button.

There was a grind in the classic games but it felt more natural and less like a shitty mobile game.

Try Monster Hunter Rise. There are demos and the movement is faster and more acrobatic due to wirebugs.

That was pretty fucking rough. A bunch of uninspired clones of other shit, a couple of janky looking remakes and maybe one or two interesting looking new games.

Summer Games Fest is going to be a slow-mo car crash if this is anything to go by. I think we are genuinely entering a really bad period for gaming. There's too much money involved now and no one is willing to take any sort of risk.

That Concord game is literally just a clone of Destiny 2 pvp of all things. All the character abilities and weapons are ripped straight from Destiny. They must be profoundly retarded to copy that of all things.

I’m thinking that 2025 will be the first year that I genuinely am not looking forward to a single game, even a game that merely looks decent. Which, might not be such a bad thing, because I’ll save more money. Still though, gaming is looking really bad right now.
