iirc it wasn't even a plan, the troons were happy running neogaf the same way they run resetera, but when that suddenly became a problem they were looking for a new host to infest and even fucking reddit told them to fuck off.
from what I remember era existed before but was a literally who, till it became open to be pozzed up. the irony is since those prime progtard faggots can't create for shit, it was still run by someone else so they didn't control it either. however luckily the dude in charge was happy to let them smear shit over themselves in their little playground while milking them lowtax style. think he sold the site by now or let someone else run things, but the era thread probably has the details.

I wish Sony would shutter the California office and just restore 100% control of the PlayStation brand back to Japan.

I'm of the belief that Sony and Sucker Punch ruining Ghost of Tsushima by turning it into a literal GOY game is better than them bringing infamous back from the dead and desecrating it with a shitty remake or a woke sequel with niggers and trannies. As much as I love infamous, I'm relieved that it'll be staying dead.

Holy crap that's ridiculous. A person spends $500-$700 on this and they get a bunch of forced advertisements they can't turn off. The only thing I use my PS5 for is as a 4k blu ray player. That's literally it. Haven't played anything on it since the stellar blade demo came out. It's just gonna keep getting gayer and gayer.
The PS3 was the best console. I still boot it up every now and then to play classic games that remain great to this day, having no forced ads is also a plus. God I hate Sony.

I know I posted in the God of War thread back when soynarok leaked before release that I'd pirate it after installing a white Angrboda mod... But I'm not going to.
It isn't just niggers that are a problem with soynarok, it's so much more.
Freya acts unbearably arrogant towards Kratos and is intolerable for most of the story. There's a side quest involving two faggot spirits, both of whom were based on developers who actually worked on the game.
And the story is just terrible. It sets up mysteries only to do nothing with them (A mask that sees the secrets of reality or whatever is introduced, just to be broken, making the entire thing pointless, there's probably other things I'm forgetting but that's one of them). Odin is a disappointment, instead of the mighty king of Asgard you get a scrawny wimp whose demeanor reminds me of a manchild, the developers cop out and instead of having Ragnarok be about the downfall of the norse gods and the end of the world, followed by it's rebirth, Ragnarok is just Odin getting overthrown, and Asgard destroyed, in some crappy avengers endgame sequence. The ending is stupid, with Atreus leaving for Egypt and Kratos helping rebuild the norse world with Freya. There's also bland and naive messaging like "feel bad for your enemies who want you dead" and "Be Better."
I enjoyed the gameplay of 2018, but it's buried under... all this.
There are problems with the gameplay as well. Everyone talks constantly during combat, and then there's the DSP handholding that happens every time you come across a puzzle in the environment. There needs to be a mod to get everyone to shut up because most of the dialogue is unbearable.
One last thing I want to add - and I've really been wanting to say this - is that the Valhalla dlc is completely redundant. The entire point of the dlc is just Kratos still agonizing over his past. He is still suffering from angst over killing his wife and child. This doesn't make any sense, because the entire point of the ending of God of War 3 is that in the Fear-Kratos-Zeus-mind-trip sequence, Kratos forgives himself for killing his family with the help of Pandora's soul. He lets go of his guilt, allowing him to unlock the power of hope that he'd absorbed from the box in GOW1, then kills Zeus with his bare hands. Athena confirms this after Zeus is dead. So Barlog, and the idiots around him who are in charge of GOW now, don't even know the story of the previous games.
To conclude this tirade, Soynarok's entire story would have to be gutted, most of the dialogue removed, and just the base gameplay and combat present to make it worth playing. There's so much garbage in Soynarok that it's not even worth the hard drive space from a torrent, much less my time.
 
Not defending a bunch of random japs but this has been a thing on the Playstation 4. I have a 5 but tend to stick to my 4 just because it's more accessible (not gonna PL). Their what's new page was covered with into the spider verse bullshit, and regularly shows me advertisements. The only thing different is sony having the balls to advertise something not explicity related to streaming or gaming,

Sony fumbled in the PS3 era so badly that it unironically led to the management of playstation being transferred out of Japan and to California. People forget but the PS3/360 era was probably the lowest point the mainline Japanese gaming industry was ever at.

Japan was so far gone by the end of that gen that the PS4 didn't actually come out in Japan for like six months after it came out in the US.
