Probably but you should understand that retail in Japan is much healthier and more like the US circa 2000. The presence of an actual ground presence doesn't indicate that they are selling well, just that Japan still has a real society that hasn't been completely destroyed.

I spent a good 10 mins messing around with a Asus ROG Ally in a Bic Camera in west Tokyo -- the controls felt very cheap, their demo application crashed to desktop and then you can really see the Windows underneath and it 's not pretty. If you're only looking at this stuff online in abstract I could see more people being duped into buying one, but it would be a big turn off to see it in person. Maybe it helps Steam Deck sales because the feel of that is better than I expected.

Only two of those games he listed are PS5 "exclusives" and by that they're only timed. Demon's Souls doesn't really count since that's a remake of a PS3 game.

Absolutely reaching to desperately grab straws to prove that "PS5 has no games" is wrong.
That whole forum is a laugh and a half with some of the delusional takes from posters.

They were coping hard in the thread about how PS5 is the worst playstation gen, some of them won't have it and say it's the best gen Sony have had :story:

It's weak mindedness coming from infantilisation and arrested development with a catalysed of FOMO.

They create this idyllic utopia in their minds and when reality runs at odds with that and proves that their idea is just an idea, they have a choice; admit they are not the centre of the universe and know everything, or grow and go through character development. Seems as the former is impossible to their child-like brains and the latter too scary, they continue to play make believe with their fingers in their ears shouting "nah nah nah I can't hear you".

Combine that with the knowledge that the golden years; those who people remember fondly and yearn for, existed before these people were born, or in most cases of gaming, were not in the correct social group to enjoy - as it used to be socially unacceptable to enjoy games during the golden years, and FOMO hits. The fear is real as they have missed out, so they again invent a world where "ackshually, gaming was shit and it's never been better than NOW". They create that alternative timeline in order to join in on a phenomenon that they have missed out on.

That or they're all just faggot niggercattle.
 
I vividly remember a massive hispanic Sony fanboy on twitter around 2020 that posted a video of him crying with his TV on the ground and his setup destroyed because the Horizon Zero Dawn PC Port was announced. He used to have his personal name on the account and that Spiderman eating a donut pfp that was popular in the 2010s.

I followed him for fun on my now banned account. He was less bombastic besides that video and was more into petty quote tweets iirc. For a time, it was slightly interesting peering into the cow's mind I guess. It now appears that he's changed his name but is still up to some petty and retarded behavior although, after this infamous tweet, he seems to be critiquing everything Sony does lol (reminds me of fellow scorned cow crapgamereviews). The Consolefag mind is quite something.

I remember being kinda mad when Capcom ported RE4 to the PS2.
I had bought a GameCube just for that game.
I got over it tho and ended up really liking the GC, plus the PS2 port, along with most other ports really, were pretty shitty.
 
New rumours floating about that Sony and Apple will pair up, with Apple funding Sony games and hardware. Apparently it's a bid to move away from Windows and to not support Xbox.
Take with yuge grains of salt:

- parnership includes FUNDING and MARKETING coming from Apple
- the same chip used on PlayStation's next handheld might be used for PSVR3, gonna be its own standalone device
- several Xbox games already have builds for PlayStation
- Sony doesn't want to bolster Xbox's business since next Xbox might use Windows as a base
- talks is to drop support for tentpole games and only port/develop Live Service titles like Helldivers 2 for Windows PC

Interestingly, J Allard, OG Xbox head engineer has just been hired by Amazon as their vice president of gaming.
Microsoft tend to air-drop in their people to head a department when they start a new partnership. Example : Nokia Mobile.

I remember that. I'm pretty sure he pulled the whole "I was just pretending to be retarded" shtick when he got clowned for that and claimed that it was an "old video" he made.

I hate to sound like a Sony shill, but I do have a small amount of respect for their Xperia phones. The latest one (Xperia 1 VI, what the fuck kind of name is that?) is comparable to a Galaxy S24 in both price and specs but it still has a headphone jack and a MicroSD slot. A rarity these days in flagship phones.

sadly thats basically the only good thing i can think of, lmao

Where I live (Australia) all we get are Lenovo Legions and ROG Ally's. That's it. May have something to do with the Steam Deck being sold for hundreds of dollars more than the US over here (like 1000+ AUD)

Isn't to far fetched, to be honest. Went to an Apple store recently, and saw an Apple TV playing Asphalt 8 with a DualSense. They at least have a chance of pairing up.
