New rumours floating about that Sony and Apple will pair up, with Apple funding Sony games and hardware.

To stay on brand with Apple's business strategy the PS6 will cost $1500, it won't offer any storage upgrade path and the vertical stand will be made of machined aluminum and cost $800 on its own,

I hate to sound like a Sony shill, but I do have a small amount of respect for their Xperia phones.

Me:
>Buys Xperia phone.
>One week in phone requests update.
>Update downloaded successfully.
>Restart phone.
>Update bricks phone.

GG Sony. Never bought a Sony phone ever again, I've used Samsung, Motorola and LG phones and I've never seen a update brick a devise since then.

$2000 minimum for the cheapest version and when a newer console comes out, performance will suffer. You know it is true. Apple had releashed the Pippin (or whatever it was called) at a much bigger price than nearly any console before or after. The ability to slap the name of Playstation on their console as well as the Apple logo will send the price into Pluto.

The Pippin was one of Apple's biggest blunders releasing in 1996 for $599 when the PlayStation had released a year earlier at half that price and was significantly a better value and a better product.

Still the Pippin managed to come up short compared to the absolute King of Delusion Mountain;
The Panasonic 3DO releasing for a whopping $700 in 1993!

And then 3 years later, Jobs spat in the face of Sony at Appleworld, advertising on stage that Connectix Virtual Game Station was highly compatible and performant and a way to run PlayStation games on Mac.

Exactly but remember: Apple was not the assholes that release a product for 3 or 4 time the price just yet. They just released things for 2x the price back then. Bet your ass that their version of the PS would be even more extremely expensive, especially today.

Aren't their phones basically using just stock android? Similar to the Pixel phones.

The only way I could see Apple and Sony teaming up is maybe Sony is considering licensing the M-series IP for their next system. I could see them licensing Apple's stuff so the next Playstation can be ARM-based but be able to execute x86 code fast enough to be able to do BC (M-series chips tend to execute x86 code at about 80% speed of a comparable native ARM program).

I don't really foresee a full partnership though. Apple is already comfortable with their control over the app store and Apple Arcade.

PlayStation handheld made by Apple with App store and PSN on one device (no steam or windows) would sell millions to nigger cattle and would be a competitor to Nintendo, while shutting out steam and microsoft. It would cost £1500 but that's the direction Sony are going, it seems.

Good shout on the ARM front. Could AMD + Arm work? (I'm not sure about the ARM tech)

She works for Sony Santa Monica, on top of being a Twitch camwhore and a OF-like whore.
She was shilling Cyberpunk 2077 as a god tier game to hype everyone up because she was close with the devs and got put into the game. Sony saw how good of a shill she was and put her on the Santa Monica team. She's basically a games journalist that managed to shill hard enough to get retards to sometimes forget she's your typical games journalist. She even had her "games too hard" moment a few months ago when she ranted about Elden Ring's DLC and tried to argue that having a kid is disability.

Will there be some Sony Ponies that buy it? Sure but will there be enough of those to make it a success? No. Remember that even the rich have a limit. Even if they can afford it, they know they can get a premium PC for less that does more.

premium PC isn't portable.

Yeah but there are better (and cheaper) options for portables and premium PC too. Point is this will cost 3x to 4x what it should.
I agree. However, niggercattle gunna niggercattle. There are better laptops on the market than a £3000 Macbook, better tablets and phones for the money and who would want to buy a monitor stand for £1000?
Apple VR flopped at £3500, with PSVR2 being a much better option.

Combine Apple fans drooling retardation for shiny shiny apple product and Sony fans ability to eat any slop given, at any price, and cheer it on, and you end up with a breed of SuperNiggerCattle, a consoooomer so powerful that they will be virtually lectured by black trannies and pay £100 for the privilege.

First things first, let us establish that Apple is to technology what Disney is to entertainment (venerated history of pushing the industry forward before deciding overpriced products and bullfuckery was the way to go). Disney is in financial trouble because people stopped going to their expensive theme parks where they sell expensive food and merch. They jacked up the prices to the point only the uber rich could afford to go. HOWEVER, those same uber rich also had better options than the low and middle class had available (going to a tropical paradise where they can eat drink and fuck while the kids play at the pool surrounded by security is an option that is both cheaper and better for the uber rich). Right now, there are both better, safer and cheaper options than Disney and everyone knows it so why go there? To pay a fortune on overpriced rides and foods while the child molester employees are eyeing the kids? Just go to Universal instead.

The same goes for Apple and Sony too. They buy now but relying but nothing should be taken for granted. We will see when the PS5Pro sales are released. And keep in mind the the hypothetical PS6 will be more expensive and even less of a leap forward in a way that matters: Performance mainly.

Game devs then used to be just like you or me.
