I hope Astrobot sold so well that it outsold Horizon 2 and God of War: Fagnorak.
It would be peak hilarity if a cutesy, cartoony, Nintendo-esque platformer outsold Sony's 3rd person cinematic wankfests.

Cathartic as it may be, do not expect Sony to learn anything from it. Games with charm and character are anathema to the Woke Agenda.
 
Concord was in development for 8 years. There have to be at least 8 horror stories from that time. There is bount to be some employees that are willing to talk. In those years, any and all charm was ironed out to create a completely bland, woke product (as opposed to Overwatch that was interesting). The Concord development has to have been filled with catty terrorists worse than even ABK.

I don't know but I'm definitely having a hard time believing it. When do we get Astrobot numbers, or do we already have them? Otherwise idk how he's even comparing.

I don't play hero shooters. What makes Overwatch "interesting". To me it's exactly the same as Concord.

You say excellent character design, but I, a luddite who doesn't play these things, see "Concord, but disneyfied". I've tried to understand the constant ragging on how woke and dreadful looking Concord is, but from my side these things look awfully similar and derivative.

To be fair, the above character is a hot waifu in comparison to anything in Concord :story:

Ok then. Breakdown time:

Most Concord designs are unattractive and non-intuitive. You see an ugly troon in a bright red jacket with Thugnificent 's hairdo and are told this is a sexy rogue (a class that is known for stealth). The designs actively contrasts the class because they wanted to subvert expectations. Contrast her with Tracer that looks like she is a speedy rogue and that is exactly what she is.

Then there is that Amaya chick (the one that looks like a knock-off of a Space Marine). She looks neither intimidating like the Astartes nor as attractive as Zarya who is meant to be an amazonian beauty (a muscular but feminine and attractive woman). Amaya just covers herself in dull looking armor and everything that could make her attractive has been removed.

Here are some videos by a game designer explaining how much the characters suck (since I am aware of my limits):

It is a robot. Are you complaining that the machine looks like a machine? How many robots have been called charming even when they look just like machines in history? It is nothing new. Also, I was talking about the game as a whole, not the character. The levels and enemies are well designed.

It wasn't that the pronouns were "Professor" but that's what the weirdo demanded everyone call him, her, whatever the gender, I don't remember. So they literally had to call this person "The Professor" or else get fired I guess.
