The point is that we cannot be sure how much influence SIE has over Sony Japan and that we should not rest merely because they are somewhat separate. We do not know how much the woke infection has progressed. Trust them as far as you can throw them.

I wonder how leadership at SIE and Sony Group as a whole are reacting to the loads of YouTube dislikes Intergalactic is getting.
There must be a limit to what you can dismiss with "Those are just the chuds, sir."
I really hope the US vs. Japan stories are true and heads roll in California after this "game" loses Concordillions of dollars.

I'm turning into that "STOP POSTING AMONGUS" guy with how sick and tired I am of seeing Lesbians in media. If the dialog also gets spruced to not be so millenial/marvel, probably miles better and would be even considered refreshing after so long with every western triple A game being mystery meat lesbian.

Would still just be a shitty cgi trailer with no gameplay and the name Cuckman still being attached would make anybody with a brain weary, but it wouldn't be the absolute slam dunk of mockery it is now.

Seen plenty of reactions to the trailer from clueless people that go: (most blatant Guardians of the Galaxy knockoff in existence) Hmmmm, getting a lot of Cowbop Bebop vibes from this…

The bits where they "reference" Akira come off like the typical jingling-keys sort of references that are only there to make people soy out over it "IT'S LIKE THE CD JUKEBOX FROM AKIRA! I GET IT!" Will there be a "bike slide" reference later?!? The game looks like it will be full of the shallowest "I RECOGNIZE THAT" allusions to other media without any substantial aesthetic inspiration. The same goes for a lot of the really horrible "Remember Le Retraux Eighties?" sludge that's been released in games, film, comics, etc. for the past few years, that are just full of surface-level ham-handed references: "OH WOW ITS JUST LIKE THAT THING IN MY VAPORWAVE REMIXS ON YOUTUBE" you know, not actually drawing real aesthetic and thematic inspiration instead of "WE REFERENCED THAT ONE SHOT, DID YOU GET IT?????"
