What a bizarre opinion. Is this the computer equivalent of being a FUDD?

"All you need is trusty old native x86, sonny. Those other ISAs are nothing but a damn gimmick!"
It's a shitpost but really though why use some retarded facsimile made by transvestites when you can steal games to use on the real thing? It's really easy on a PS2.
Shinobi is a Sega of Japan IP, just like Streets of Rage 4 before it (another game Lizardcube worked on) they have to develop those titles respecting and following the inspiration and supervision of the Japanese creators because they are working as contractors. The developers are Western, but spiritually it is an Eastern game.

Mercury Steam and Retro Studio are also western developers but their work on the Metroid games did not deviate from Nintendo of Japan's supervision, standards or sensibilities, henceforth even if the work is geographically taking place in a Western studio, it is Easter inspired by the nature of the IP and its conception.

Meanwhile Assassin's Creed: Shadows is being developed by a French studio but that is an example of a game that pretends to have Eastern inspiration but it has Western minded "sensibilities" at its core and it shows.
Nah, Lizardcube is le west and they are legit. Before Sega they made the Wonderboy remake which was fantastic. And Sega these days is a skinwalker that has nothing to do with the company you used to love, thankfully allowing Lizardcube to make something cool.

Not even GTA SA?
What a shame.
GTA SA is overrated as fuck because it's all about niggers, also it overstays its welcome and overcomplicates everything with too much side content, too big of a map, and needless RPG stat bullshit.

3 and VC may have less content but they are superior not only in setting and atmosphere, but also the gameplay. They're simple enough to jump right in and get addicted, and they're more focused on making the most out of what's there instead of dumping lots of shit on you hoping something will stick.

I guess you could say SA has a more fleshed out narrative, but only retards play games for the story. Besides, it's just yet another rehash of Hamlet. 3 had a more interesting, subtler narrative where more and more figureheads of the criminal underworld start relying on you, then backstab you or you backstab them, and by the end pretty much everyone wants you dead. The whole revenge on Catalina part wasn't the real meat of the story. VC had a neat story too but Scarface did it better

MGS Delta is not an exclusive, in fact Metal Gear hasn't been a PlayStation exclusive since MGS4 way back in 2008.
The only reason why MGS4 wasn't on 360 was because of DVD file size limits. If they weren't hell bent on using uncompressed audio (most of MGS4s file size was taken up by audio) or was fine with using 3 dual-layer DVDs or 6 single layer DVDs we'd have MGS4 on 360.

Also, MGS2 had an Xbox release.

the audience wants stylish graphics, appealing, beautiful characters and fun game play.

Geeze, talk about your revelations out of left field. Who could have guessed that's what people actually want?

Holy fucking shit. I feel like an 80 year old reading this. I remember the Xbone's Xbox's reveal like it happened yesterday.

We are as far away from the Xbox as the Xbox was from the Atari VCS.

As nice as it is for Days Gone to get a remastering, I'm pragmatic about its reality - it'll have some graphical upgrades and a couple of extra modes that serve as bells and whistles without adding much to improve the core experience. I like there will be a Permadeath mode, but those bigger badder Hordes in Horde Assault? They should incorporate those into the main story. There should be a harder difficulty above Survival 2, where you are afraid to do too much at night because the hordes are so gargantuan and there are so many of them roaming about. That and remove the unlimited fuel cans to make travel more desperate.

It's a crime they won't get a sequel and it'll be shelved along with the 50 other IPs that Sony neglects on the regular. But hey, at least Horizon will be overrepresented in everything, right?
Did it have any DLC that could be included?

Edit - just a difficulty mode and some survival challenges. Nothing substantial. There's not really much point in buying this if you own the PS4 version.

From what I skimmed when looking Days Gone DLC up, it only got an extra difficulty setting and some extra challenges.
The Horde Assault mode just seems like that other mode they added previously - a side venture like Resident Evil 4's Mercenaries, which to me feels like wasted resources.

The worst part about the remaster being completely unnecessary is that when the Days Gone remaster sells poorly, Hulst will use that as justification to not do any DLC or sequel to Days Gone. Then again based on his other decisions, he could be too retarded to plan anything that nefarious.

Oh. Emulation is free, while nostalgia subhumans are already driving the prices of PS2s through the roof (OK, in some regions at least),, And PCSX2 is making progress, one day it might become next to indistinguishable from a real PS2, provided you have PC faster than a potato. This one is also not, as far as I know, made by some tranny dramakween, so I have some hope.

Of course there are systems that are so far not worth emulating like Xboxes, (3)DS, PS3, PSP, Vita and a couple of other systems. And obviously, keep your old consoles, their value can only go up.
If the PS6 is more of the same, they might as well as not bother. Games that take an entire generation to make, will cost 79.99, will run at the speed of a geriatric slug, will not be exclusive anyway and will sell like shit on a machine that cost way more than it is worth are what will break the industry like it is '82 all over again only perhaps worse. New console, same as the old console.
Maybe oh god please make it happen it will be so fucking funny.

Video game industry crashed in 1980s because people came to the revelation 8-bit computers are a far better of a deal than consoles that were technologically obsolete on day 1, with library ridden to brim with shovelware. So the same situation as it is right now, although, if you think about it, Soyny and Microsoft have no business selling that many units given the pitful state of software side (aka games). Poojeets, chinkoids and zoned out fanboy retards will eat their shit anyway for the time being. Is the console market too big to fall?

Really? I thought those assholes only really did so for Nintendo consoles. It's fine, I can go to some third world country that still finds PS2s useful and buy one from there.

Not really. It was just because the games were shit. I think you're mixing up the fact that Europe was busy dicking around with 8-bit microcomputers while the US videogame market was falling apart. There wasn't as much of a computer gaming scene in the US compared with Europe, computer companies in the US mainly focused on business stuff.

Some info:

9.5 million 5 units shipped during the three months ended December 31, 2024.
  • There are 129 million monthly active users on PlayStation Network as of December 31, 2024, which is up six million from the 123 million active users during the same period the previous fiscal year. - My edit: Sony counts a MAU as anyone who has signed in to PSN from anywhere OR used a Playstation service

  • PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 software combined sold 95.9 million units during the three months ended December 31, 2024, which is up 6.2 million from the 89.7 million software sold during the same period the previous fiscal year. 11.6 million units were first-party titles, which is down 4.6 million from the 16.2 million units sold during the same period the previous fiscal year. 74 percent of software sales were full game software digital downloads, which is down three percent from the same period the previous fiscal year. - My edit: Combining PS5 software with a 13 year old console is desperate. Despite that, 1st party software sales are down 4.65%. 3% lower full software downloads, meaning the PS5 is a third party dlc machine.

PS5 has shipped 20.4 million last year, and the soynyfags are celebrating as the PS4 never SHIPPED that many in a single year. Even though, launch aligned, the PS5 now trails PS4 by 2 million units.

Here's the kicker; PS4 units are sold vs PS5 units shipped, so launch aligned, the PS5 is probably 5 million behind the PS4.

Sell in 75 million
After 17 quarters

  • PS4 : 76.6
  • PS5 : 75.0
  • PS2 : 71.3
  • PS1 : 50.7
  • PSP : 49.6
  • PS3 : 48.0

Again, PS5 sold in vs PS5 sold through. Sony are using microsoft language to try and inflate the numbers, even though it IS falling behind the PS4 and it won't catch up.
When GTA 6 releases they will 'ship' 10 million consoles to stores and class it as a win.

No market is "too big to fall". Some markets are "too big to be ALLOWED to fall".

There are similarities but there are also differences. The new console market crash will be less bad but more global due to how the market works. The two big console manufacturers will take a massive hit but, due to PC gaming being more available than ever and Nintendo having a foothold, the console market will survive though things will have to shuffle quite a bit. I presume that MS will either leave the console market or they will downsize greatly while Sony will fire a lot of people and start making cheaper games.

I learned recently that Sony won't allow Arma Reforger on PS5 to have mod support. It has full mod support on Xbox and PC. There's some really good mods, and Sony is telling Bohemia Interactive they can't do it. There's rumblings they've figured something out but nothing official. Bohemia is fighting them on it. Imagine having such a giant feature cut from your game because of corporate BS.

That would hit up against the fact that the Last of Us expensive remake also sold jack shit
They already drove most of the leadership out of Bend by not letting them make what they wanted and forcing them onto a live service game, which they have since cancelled.
Bend is probably soon to join the extensive list of studios shut down because they ironically didn't bend the knee to become a slave to Druckmann & Hulst's games

The developers are Western, but spiritually it is an Eastern game.
So how about every Silent Hill since 4? Still an eastern game? This shit doesn't usually end up good for the title, Metroid and Streets of Rage are happy exceptions.
The only reason why MGS4 wasn't on 360 was because of DVD file size limits
And looking back it wouldn't be missed. It's a shit MGS, save for the multiplayer component
