I never played Demon's Souls, so they added niggers to the remake, how disgusting, "Bluepoint Games Inc. is an American video game developer" ahh.

It's just bland ragebait. It would be funnier if it painted playstation fans as pompous fart-huffers, which is exactly how they acted during the PS3-era. Chad Warden wasn't a bit.
Chad Warden was 100% a bit, what do you mean?

How true is this image? I think some of the things on here are a bit ridiculous to mock but the PSN service is one that is kinda true.

A lot of it. The first 3 are very fake, though everyone made fun of Xbox Live for costing money until Sony copied it. Wiimote was definitely dragged through the mud but if I remember right the SDF were more acting like the PS3 implementation was superior because it was in a normal controller, then turned 360 degrees and walked away when Sony xeroxed the Wiimote with PSMove. Rumble was a funny one, Halo was frequently called Gaylo while every PS exclusive FPS was somehow a "Halo Killer", PSP fans acted like touch was a terrible idea.

This has always been a pet peeve of mine regarding Wolverine as a character. Very interesting from a narrative stand point, a great comic book character that lends himself well for animation and movies but as a video game character I find him unappealing because of the very nature of his powers. It is very difficult to design mechanics around a character that can shrug off mortal wounds with ease, has regenerating health and his attacks are limited to hacking and slashing enemies with his claws as his only weapons.
Maybe they could give Wolverine some sort of mutation stamina bar that fills up when he does combos or kills enemies, and then when it’s full the player can choose between using it up to regenerate his health or doing some sort of powerful special move?

Which will end in disaster when Valve release their console.
I’m not so sure about that. Big AAA multiplayer games tend to have kernel-level anti-cheat that’s basically glorified malware and that’s the one thing Linux gaming still really struggles with. The CoD/Sportsball lot will probably move to Xbox/Windows instead.

I wouldn't call Linux' strong resistance to rootkits and other malware something to "struggle" with.

Playstation definely copied Xbox and 360 for the PS3, but a good deal of that was just twch advances in general and the fact that bot came out between the PS2 and 3 releases. Even the Wii had more computer-type functions than a PS2. This was an era of huge and constant visible tech evolution.

They might've copied Xbox, but they executed it HORRIBLY. How else do you explain Skyrim running like absolute dogshit on the PS3 and it ran perfectly fine and smooth like butter on the 360?

It definitely didn't run smooth like butter, but Bethesda games always had a nasty habit on the PS3 to just crater.
I remember seeing a friend play oblivion on their xbox and it was abysmal compared to pc
The PS3 version of Oblivion is the only Bethesda game that runs decently on the system. Mostly because Bethesda didn't make the port.

No one was dogging the Xbox for its hard drive in 2001. The issue with Xbox was its enormous size, polarizing initial controller design, and the fact that Microsoft killed Japanese dev support by acting like smug assholes.

Deep lore on the last bit - Shinji Mikami hated the PS2. He considered it a pain in the ass to develop for and he thought Sony was acting too complacent with third-parties. So he went out to look for an alternative platform to develop RE4 for. Initially, he approached Microsoft because of the Xbox's insane power level (when pushed properly, it could be 2x the PS2 performance and could even hit 720p in some games). Microsoft treated him with such contempt that he walked out the door and immediately made an exclusivity pact with fucking Nintendo.

My point is that it's easy to think there's some nefarious Sonypony conspiracy poisoning public sentiment against Xbox (as this meme implies) but the reality is that Microsoft did that themselves. They approached the console market as if their ascendance to market leader was a foregone conclusion because they had money and treated devs like absolute trash (especially Japanese ones). Xbots are just as delusional as Ponies.

Well, that's explain a lot how xbox consoles sold so poorly in Japan.

People talk about Japan as if them only buying Japanese consoles is a settled fact. It is true that the Japanese have a preference for buying domestic, but that didn't stop them from abandoning NEC en masse when Windows + foreign PC clones hit the market and beat NEC's PC-98 line at Japanese language support.

Microsoft always had a shot at Japan and most Japanese don't have a particularly negative view of the console other than the fact it doesn't have software they want to play. The issue has always been Microsoft's dev rel with Japanese studios and that's a problem deeply rooted in anti-Japanese sentiment at the company. More deep lore: DirectX's original code name was "Manhattan Project" because the guys behind it were so butthurt about Japanese dominance in gaming and Xbox was downstream of that seethefest.

This. They might as well as had renamed it to "Enola Gay" for all the burning hatred they had towards Japan and how it ended up being mutual. MS did everything they could to come of as the arrogant and stupid Americans they were and were treated accordingly. No one had any problem with American products. Did they prefer domestic? Yeah but that is true for nearly every country. Japan eats up Apple product like candy on Halloween. All they asked was a slick design (for smaller hands and rooms), good treatment and software that appealed to them. MS did not research the Japanese side of the industry (not that they did a lot of research on the Western side either), they just dropped a console into the market and demanded it become a success like it was an music industry plant.

I have said it before and I will say it again: A console's success is partly determined by how good it is but mostly by how badly the competition will mismanage their consoles (regardless by how good THEY are). The only exception so far was in the PS2/NGC/XBOX era. It was the one time when both were equally important.

Well, that's explain a lot how xbox consoles sold so poorly in Japan.
It truly does. MS never truly turned things around. The original X-Box was a lost cause, the 360 was badly made, the XBone was too expensive, lacked games and was advertised as an online only spy machine. The Series X/S was just way too little, way too late. Lacking in games, lacking in ease for development and lacking in goodwill, it might had been better off to not release at all in this PC friendly Japan of current year (and world at large).
