This is phrased as if Xbox has had a notable good release at some point after the 360 era, if so I would genuinely like to know what would qualify, lol (the only thing that comes to mind for me is ori which is like a decade old, or something that just passes the "serviceable" threshold like the newest forza title).

While it's possible that parents see "Switch 2" and, like the WiiU, say "why not just get/stay with the OG switch", but I wouldn't bet on it.

To me "Fan fave" doesn't necessarily mean commercially succesful, a "fan fave" could be a cult classic. Nonetheless, I agree that it was a good idea, economically, for sony to can Twisted Metal and TLoU factions after the concord disaster.
As to what I'd actually consider good, beyond just notable and not actively awful? From what I've heard, Sea of Thieves eventually became good. Rare Replay also good but, really, thats a compilation with DVD extras-type features included. Otherwise... hmm.... whatever the Insomniac game on XBO was called. The latest Call of Duty if you actually count Activision stuff. Uhh.... Ori 2 and... Cuphead? Killer Instinct (XBO one) might have also passed muster, Sony eventually purchased the team that made that, didn't they? Hi-Fi Rush looked good. Pentiment looked... high concept, and that other one, the Honey I Shrunk the Kids game.

All and all a sorry lot compared to Nintendo or even Sony where you can just sort of go down the list and list game after game.

edit: Oh yeah, almost forgot. Crackdown 3. Now I know what you're all saying, that game reviewed terrible. But it was shat upon for being "dated" at that point, basically being a 360 game. But I love that era of games and Crackdown looked like good, clean, unpretentious fun. Port that shit to Switch and I'd gladly pay 20 dollars for a physical copy of it.

For it to be a win for the Xbox brand it needs to be, at least a timed, exclusive (not counting PC releases) and have a positive reputation beyond the initial release window. I’d count Hi-Fi Rush and Grounded on that basis as genuinely well regarded releases that actively fill out market niches to increase Xbox’s value proposition. Still, quite threadbare. Not to say Sony is leaps and bounds better as so many of their “acclaimed” titles fill out the exact same niche of third person, cinematic, action sloppa (Thus, If you don’t like those games your incentives for ownership decrease precipitously).

To me, a good console should have solid games (exclusives being preferable in making for a better sell) in a wide assortment of genres (e.g., racing, mech, airplane, platformer, etc.) for all their faults, Nintendo, at least, seems to understand that.

If they keep pricing out normies though, I think the big three are in for a rude awakening.
>Nintendo pulls the video game industry out of the video game crash and ends up making the move that causes another crash 40 years later
They're probably going to do fine but man, it would be satisfying if Nintendo gets Wii U cucked for this move. Imagine if they actually push for $100 base games or go for a $550-600 base price on the Switch 2 because of the tariffs.

All Nintendo had to do to win was release a better version of the Switch and join Valve to watch the unfolding trainwreck that is Microsoft and Sony, but they had to get cocky again and they had to get arrogant.

Likely the only reason they're going to get away with it is that their competition is significantly more retarded than they are.

Something's gotta give though, this $80-$90 dollar pricing is so retarded that I just don't see most parents giving in on, at least in comparison to the Switch 1's numbers.

I am sure their sales will suffer, but not nearly as much as they would if there was any other viable alternative on the market.

Then again, like you said, it might be a repeat of the Wii U, parents being confused why they should be paying so much money for what basically looks like the same toy their children already have.

Also, the retarded cartridge categories are going to cause Nintendo endless amounts of grief from irate costumers that didn't sign up to buy a physical serial number and now need the internet to get their game.

I really wish that Nintendo would have gone full Wii U and just made it a home console but with the ability to dual screen with a switch 1 as the primary controller. I'm just gonna keep playing with my Wii U instead. Mario Kart 8 on Pretendo is still fun and you can still fill lobbies. Doesn't matter though I already own too many video games that I don't play. My sister really wanted the switch 2 for the bigger screen to play fortnite, but I'm not currently aware if it'll still be free to play if Nintendo is going to make you pay for online to access the most basic shit. I will never pay to play online, ever.

I wanted Nintendo to dominate with the Switch 2, not because I give a shit about Nintendo, but because I wanted to see Sony suffer the consequences of their own arrogance.

The cope from Sony fans about why Nigtergalactic is £99 is going to be fun though.

Oh boy, here we go.

Sony Sends Survey Asking PlayStation Gamers About the Switch 2

Sony corporate drones not having a single original bone in their body and always following trends is almost guarantied to usher the PS6 as a hybrid handheld console.

This is the Wii waggle control retardation all over again. Microsoft and Sony followed that stupid trend and released the Kinect and the PS Move respectively and now we are in the age of "everything is a handheld now", Xbox is all but confirming that they have a handheld in the works (Besides the Xbox branded handheld PC they are releasing with Asus) and now Sony could do the same after testing the waters with the PS Portal.

Why would anyone trust sony with a handheld again after they actively killed Vita and fucked over both owners and developers on it by forcing people to stop releasing games on it?
Vita would probably STILL be getting games today if Sony didnt actively choose to force people not to release on it.

Sunset Overdrive, one of the best games ever made.

Recore, a relatively decent one.

Gears.

And Crackdown 3 was plenty of fun.

the conclusion this faggots are going to get is charge more for the games arent they?

Shawn Ladyden has come out and defended the price of Nintendo Switch 2 (tm) games saying exclusives should be expensive.

niggergalactic is going to be $99, isnt it?
and free with soylent in a week so they can say some weasel bullshit like "10 million players now own Intersexspace! They didnt buy it but they own a copy!""
Exclusives should not be expensive, they also shouldn't be generic mass market slop trying to sell 50 million copies. they should be loss leaders to get people into your ecosystem and create an audience to deserve your 30% cut

Likely the only reason they're going to get away with it is that their competition is significantly more retarded than they are.
For real! Like, when you see that MS (everything to do with Kinect) and Sony (the PS5 Pro) are seemingly trying to never turn a profit or maintain customer goodwill, your next release as a competitor should be a very easy win. Yet somehow Nintendo fucked it up. It's akin to the 2025 Philadelphia Eagles playing against a team of retarded, blind children in wheelchairs and going into half-time down 42 points.

Absolutely. The problem is, the ecosystems of sony, microsoft and nintendo have so many niggercattle carolled into their own pens that they don't need more people to come in to their ecosystem to survive. They can feed slop to cattle, they get enough milk already.

Can someone please explain to me what's the issue of Sony putting that price for the TLOU Complete Collection? I don't speak consoomer.

The only issue would be even wanting to buy anything TLOU fucking related but the price isn't even out of line.

Part 1 is widely available for <$30 Part 2 is widely available for <$15
Repackaging both of them for $60 would be a stretch $100 is pure delusion
and they're making this their key heavily promoted center stage release for early 2025, spending millions more advertising shit that already flopped because of favoritism
