TLOU fanbase are the lowest of the low caste of niggercattle livestock at Soyny's disposal, I very much support them going broke. I hope they charge them 200$, 100$ for each game, when the PS6 comes out since they will still buy it.

I'll give you one out of four. Sunset Overdrive was a good game. Roll Tony Hawk Pro Skater, Jet Set Radio and Ratchet & Clank together into one product. Since you mentioned Sunset Overdrive, I know MS owns the rights for the FIRST game, but since Insomniac Games is now a first-party Sony studio, Sony owns the rights to the IP. I don't think either Insomniac or Sony wants to DO anything with it.

Would be funniest if the horizon series was the thing that sunk Sony. I have never seen a game series being pushed that hard with so little organic support. It's a game I have never heard anyone talk about in any aspect but I see it in marketing constantly.
Even something like TLOU2 and Ragnacuck had the soycucks on reddit.

Sony would quite simply be ~$5 billion in the red per year without skimming 30% off the top of every 3rd party microtransaction purchased through the psn store. It's all but impossible to ignore that elephant in the room when you know it exists, and their quarterly shareholder updates essentially serve as nothing more than an elaborate shell game to do whatever it takes to obfuscate this fact and list as many metrics as possible other than a breakdown of what segments profits come from. These loss leader AAA prestige moviegame walking simulators they're known for that can never possibly make back their budget aren't as insane as they seem on the surface, they shouldn't be looked at as products for sale, but rather as advertisements for the playstation ecosystem itself. Sony's entire strategy relies on them being THE default home of aggressively monetized AAA hellgames, and why buy an xbox that has all the same games as a ps5 when you can get a ps5 and have spiderman or whorizon bundled in?
So, shareholder reports exist to bandy about any metric devoid of context or meaning they can find, because while these AAA prestige walking simulators are an important cog in their business plan, investors are just going to look at them and say "you lost HOW many millions of dollars on these?!?!" and not "oh, you spent this many millions on a rather successful ad campaign". However, when you get to the ps5 generation, you see multiple issues start to crop up. For one, profit margins keep getting slimmer and slimmer, costs are rising, while overall spend remains stagnant. Individual games set monetization records, but they're just cannibalizing other games, not seeing industry growth. NFTs were 100% supposed to be the new monetization trend, after the microtransaction, the digital deluxe edition, and the $50 season pass and battlepass have all become standard. Obviously though, that never panned out, so companies are forced to stymie these absurdly bloated costs by trying to squeeze every drop of blood they can get out of this already milked stone.
Furthermore, there are a lot of higher ups at sony itself that have as much of an understanding of their business strategy as the shareholders do. From viewing their AAA 1st party prestige titles as flops rather than advertisements, to just saying "Why take 30% off of zero risk when we could take 100% just by absorbing all the risk and developing these overmonetized hellgames ourselves!", somehow not grasping that the "zero risk" is the most important factor there, sinking untold billions into trying to make their own 1st party fortnite, saying that just one of these games being successful would pay for all of them, not realizing they sound like a crackhead justifying buying a hundred scratch off tickets. They also don't even understand the live service business model, which is to put out as many low budget games with as minimal content at launch as you can, and then EoS all the underperformers and rapidly shift your teams onto the couple that build a following so you can lock them in. Each of these cancelled live service sony games is essentially a multi hundred million dollar scratch off ticket.
I guess TL;DR, Sony will be fine as long as they remain the default AAA box for normalfags and the fortnite, fifa, roblox, genshit, and cod lootbox/microtransaction dosh keeps covering for rising costs. All of their backup plans however have failed though, and their attempts at finding a backup have only hastened the moment when costs eclipse even the $9 BILLION in what is essentially free money they take off the top of all this monetization each year.

I'll have to disagree here. Sony has forgotten the old "it's the games, stupid" adage, and has arguably been doing so for at least two generations now. If this strategy of theirs was popular their console division wouldn't be seriously toying with the idea of throwing in the towel altogether.
The PS1 and PS2 didn't dominate the market because of fancy tech demos, but because the console had exclusives people wanted. The PS2 featured, in many ways, the weakest hardware on the market, yet it utterly crushed what Microsoft and Nintendo had on offer.
Nowadays Sony is more concerned with retarded graphical flexes, like showing how hairy Nikocado Avocado's buttery cheeks are, instead of giving people fun games to play. They drank their own Kool-Aid and now think fancy tech demos are what the costumers want, while Nintendo is busy stealing the market from under them.
They shut down their creative Japanese studios in favor of turning everything else into cinematic slop factories that all shit out the same game once per generation, which is not sustainable.
When people says the PS5 has no games, they mean that in the most literal sense - you can't entice costumers solely with Spider-Man and TLOU, and especially not when the companies making the games are actively trying to antagonize the costumers.
And maybe that doesn't matter either, but if Sony's strategy was successful then third-party developers would be lining up to sign exclusivity deals with them. Instead what we're witnessing is Sony humiliating themselves by releasing the scant few exclusives they have on other platforms.

Im not sure if nintendo will steal anything, the prices for Switch2 in EU is the same as the PS5 and the new mario kart game is a whopping 110 dollars. Not many parents are gonna fork out the cash for this. So all you have left is the nintendo fanboys, and we did see what happen to the wiiu. When it was nearly only nintendo fanboys that bough that console and all the parents, normies etc didnt. the switch1 will still get new games and thats what the majority will stick too until nintendo to a hefty price drop.

I was talking about the Switch 1, but yes, I agree, Nintendo fucked themselves over, though Sony is already increasing their prices too, so none of them are really poised to take advantage of the situation, though at least Nintendo has been making lots of money in the past few years, unlike Sony.

Sony EU raised the price on the digital PS5 and lowered the price on the disc drive. Standard PS5 is still the same price. I feel for Australia and New Zealand they got totally fucked over. Anyway it will be interesting to see how the Switch2 will do in 6 months or a year after release with their prices.
