TLOU fanbase are the lowest of the low caste of niggercattle livestock at Soyny's disposal, I very much support them going broke. I hope they charge them 200$, 100$ for each game, when the PS6 comes out since they will still buy it.Part 1 is widely available for <$30 Part 2 is widely available for <$15
Repackaging both of them for $60 would be a stretch $100 is pure delusion
and they're making this their key heavily promoted center stage release for early 2025, spending millions more advertising shit that already flopped because of favoritism
I'll give you one out of four. Sunset Overdrive was a good game. Roll Tony Hawk Pro Skater, Jet Set Radio and Ratchet & Clank together into one product. Since you mentioned Sunset Overdrive, I know MS owns the rights for the FIRST game, but since Insomniac Games is now a first-party Sony studio, Sony owns the rights to the IP. I don't think either Insomniac or Sony wants to DO anything with it.Sunset Overdrive, one of the best games ever made.
Recore, a relatively decent one.
Gears.
And Crackdown 3 was plenty of fun.
We know what Insomniac's next decade looks like thanks to the major leak last year. SO is not part of it.I'll give you one out of four. Sunset Overdrive was a good game. It really is amazing, ever since the Xbox One reveal its been a non stop race to the bottom in terms of retarded business practice. Letting bungie release another Concord instead of making D3 is also peak retardation..."Hey, nintendo stubbed their toe there by revealing a $450 console with $80 games, how can we at sony take advantage of this?"
"Raise the price of our $700 console in most regions (which doesn't include the price of a disc drive or a stand to put it in the only orientation that fits on 90% of tv cabinets), raise the price of ps+ (which is $80 for the "cheap" tier and $140 for the "premium" tier ALREADY), release the 4th port of a ps3 game for $110 with LESS CONTENT than the ps3 version had, and CONCORD TWOOOOOOOO!!!!"

It's a real shame that they removed the co-op on the PC version.Sunset Overdrive, one of the best games ever made.
Would be funniest if the horizon series was the thing that sunk Sony. I have never seen a game series being pushed that hard with so little organic support. It's a game I have never heard anyone talk about in any aspect but I see it in marketing constantly.Tinfoil hat:
Sony are in financial trouble.
They're leasing IP's to Nintendo - their oldest, most bitter rival, and rumours are knocking about that they will sell off their movie business (probably to Disney).
Was concord the straw that broke the camels back? Intergalactic rumoured to be slipping to 2027. Is the clown show being put on hiatus for retooling?
What of Jade Raymond's studio that cost 200 million to buy, four years ago, and hasn't even made a game yet?
ND have 930 staff and haven't released a game since 2020, instead just re-releasing remakes of TLoU 1 and 2.
Here's a list of all games Sony are working on
Spoiler alert, most (seriously) are working on nothing.
Only ND - intergalactic, polyphony - GT7 and Haven - $faggame, are working on announced projects.
12,000 people work for playstation. No way are those financials making sense.
I can't wait for their next board meeting where they announce sales and financials. It won't be pretty.
Jak and DexterToday marks 25 years since the PS2 hit the scene. What were your favorite PS2 games? Any fond/memorable experiences with the console?
The older I get and the longer time has passed the more I think the religious fundamental types from the 2000s were proven right on a lot of things.
Sony would quite simply be ~$5 billion in the red per year without skimming 30% off the top of every 3rd party microtransaction purchased through the psn store. It's all but impossible to ignore that elephant in the room when you know it exists, and their quarterly shareholder updates essentially serve as nothing more than an elaborate shell game to do whatever it takes to obfuscate this fact and list as many metrics as possible other than a breakdown of what segments profits come from. These loss leader AAA prestige moviegame walking simulators they're known for that can never possibly make back their budget aren't as insane as they seem on the surface, they shouldn't be looked at as products for sale, but rather as advertisements for the playstation ecosystem itself. Sony's entire strategy relies on them being THE default home of aggressively monetized AAA hellgames, and why buy an xbox that has all the same games as a ps5 when you can get a ps5 and have spiderman or whorizon bundled in?Tinfoil hat:

blog.playstation.comWith a backdrop of a challenging economic environment, including high inflation and fluctuating exchange rates, SIE has made the tough decision to raise the recommended retail price (RRP) of the PlayStation 5 console in select markets in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Australia and New Zealand.
I'll have to disagree here. Sony has forgotten the old "it's the games, stupid" adage, and has arguably been doing so for at least two generations now. If this strategy of theirs was popular their console division wouldn't be seriously toying with the idea of throwing in the towel altogether."oh, you spent this many millions on a rather successful ad campaign"
Im not sure if nintendo will steal anything, the prices for Switch2 in EU is the same as the PS5 and the new mario kart game is a whopping 110 dollars. Not many parents are gonna fork out the cash for this. So all you have left is the nintendo fanboys, and we did see what happen to the wiiu. When it was nearly only nintendo fanboys that bough that console and all the parents, normies etc didnt. the switch1 will still get new games and thats what the majority will stick too until nintendo to a hefty price drop.Nowadays Sony is more concerned with retarded graphical flexes, like showing how hairy Nikocado Avocado's buttery cheeks are, instead of giving people fun games to play. They drank their own Kool-Aid and now think fancy tech demos are what the costumers want, while Nintendo is busy stealing the market from under them.
I was talking about the Switch 1, but yes, I agree, Nintendo fucked themselves over, though Sony is already increasing their prices too, so none of them are really poised to take advantage of the situation, though at least Nintendo has been making lots of money in the past few years, unlike Sony.Im not sure if nintendo will steal anything, the prices for Switch2 in EU
It‘s like the Nintendo cycle all over again:I was talking about the Switch 1, but yes, I agree, Nintendo fucked themselves over, though Sony is already increasing their prices too, so none of them are really poised to take advantage of the situation, though at least Nintendo has been making lots of money in the past few years, unlike Sony.
