The essence of a hobby that was borne by and for enthusiast that craved intellectual and mechanical challenge has been watered down to cater to a lowest common denominator audience that has to be guided through linear corridors, yellow painted ladders and voice overs telling them how to solve a puzzle 30 seconds after they encounter it.

Didn't it only sell 3m across both platforms to date? Supposedly I'm just a few days Yotei sold 2m on PS5 alone. I have no idea why more people want to play the ugly dyke samurai game, I can only imagine it's coasting off Tsushima's success, but regardless, it unfortunately didn't flop it seems.

From the looks of things, a good chunk of them. If sales trends from previous Sony first party games as well as launch week sales in Japan, the game is following the "Sony first party game sells 50% less copies than the original" trend.
You'd think Sony would learn to stop releasing movie games about revenge and grief that features man-looking lesbian abominations with long hair after the 5th time said movie game doesn't perform as well.
 
Even though sometimes i wish we coyld get the sequel of Sly cooper that we are owned and it would be cool to play it. Im glad Sly Cooper as a franchise is dead/locked up because you just know they are gonna fuck it up by making Carmelita the main character of the game and be better than Sly and all that jazz.

I've come to have the same thought process around the infamous games as well, they were a huge part of my childhood and now I don't think I'd want to see another one with the current state of things.

I think the same about the Sly Cooper movie that was in production and was cancelled after the box office failure of the Ratchet and Clank one. I was interested at first and was disappointed about the cancellation but on second thought it was scheduled to come out in 2016, that year is when the whole woke agenda got a firm foothold on Western entertainment. In retrospect it is better that it never came out.

This basically describes me. I was a hardcore Sonyfag up until the PS5. The fact that players couldn't transfer saves to USB was fucking disrespectful IMO. Then no exclusives worth a shit and the Pro model being fucking overpriced trash in addition to the vast majority of new games being worthless slop chased me away.

So then I'm thinking, "Alright, just start looking into building a PC. It's probably not that hard."

And it is isn't minus the fact that fucking good graphics cards are either impossible to find or are insanely overpriced.

In short, fuck Sony. I hope the videogame arm of their corporation suffers extreme financial failure.

Don't fall for the slopaganda, you don't need a cutting edge graphics card to play modern games. If you're not a retard and enjoy 1080p, you can play modern games in ultra settings at 60 or even 120 fps, with even a modest card.
My second hand PC cost me £600 and I can play Cyberpunk in ultra at 70fps.

Yop. I've got a monster of a PC ... in the garage, buried in a box somewhere, following a cross-country move. It plays anything.

In the interim, I'm running on a little bitty "Mini PC" that fits in the palm of my hand. Beelink SER 5, Ryzen 7, 8 core. I put 64GB of RAM in it and a 4TB SSD. Motherfucker plays practically everything I've thrown at it. Admittedly I don't chase the newest 200GB CoD installs, but Kenshi, Factorio, Satisfactory, Minecraft, Space Engineers, A-Train 9, Workers & Resources (60 FPS!), Skyrim, Fallout 3/NV/4, No Man's Sky (!), Cult of the Lamb, The Long Dark, Oxygen Not Included, Stardew Valley, AI War 1 & 2, XCOM: Enemy Within (w/Long War), Subnautica, Frostpunk, Left 4 Dead 1 & 2, fuckin' Doom 2016, Slime Rancher 1 & 2, Alien Isolation ...

All sorts of shit runs on this crazy little asshole and it has substantially bruised my PC-building ego knowing how high above its weight class it can hit compared to the monster I spent thousands building two years ago, now collecting dust in the garage because I honestly haven't needed its performance enough to justify digging it out of the garage yet.
