Does anyone think that the new ND game will actually sell well?

No. Playing as a bald, ugly, micro cephalic, girl boss, mystery meat dyke has a very limited appeal.

Neil Cuckman is going to sink Naughty Dog no matter how much the audience is communicating that they don't want this shit in their games.

The Switch 2 has more exclusives today than the PS5 has in it's lifetime.
There's a chance it could outsell the PS5 in half the time.
“A chance”?

I’m still waiting for Switch 1 to finally pass PS2 and become officially* recognized as the best selling console ever. Not that I think it deserves that spot, but it deserves it way more than the glorified DVD player that currently holds it.

* not counting the five million extra units that Sony “found” 15 years after it was already off the market with zero proof

Switch 1 is outselling PS5 is most markets. Throw Black friday deals in there and S1 will surpass PS2 with ease.

PS2 final tally 160.6 million.
Switch 1 current sales 154.01 million and it sold 350k last month in Japan.

On rom websites. Other topic, 300 dollar system using cartridges, turn on and play like a nes/snes. That’s what console users want, not gimped PCs.
I think youre 90% there.
Console indeed dont want to know theyre using a PC. A lot of them are just chasing that feeling they had in the ps3/360 era though.
As far as presentation goes there is very little difference between that generation and the next one, but people feel much less nostalgia for the latter.
Maybe they miss when consoles had actual noticeable improvements every generation? (More gigashits per terrafart doesnt count)
Maybe thst lack of nostalgia is because the industry never really moved on? (Theyre still releasing titles fir ps4 and we’re still saying “xbox one [insert subtitle]”)

Outside of nintendo i dont think carts would sell well besides the most baby-minded millennials, but for certain most console users definitely dont want to find out their console is just a PC.

i remember the supposed leak of the entire story on 4chan that everyone said was fake because gamergate or something like that
it seemed completely plausible to me, building up deep relationships with characters then having them violently murdered in front of you because fuck you is something druckmann would absolutely do

Replace her with Eve or 2B.

The craziest part is that you don't have to go to such glamorous examples of femininity as Eve and 2B to have a likable, relatable female character.

These are perfect examples of female protagonist that found an audience that appreciate them for who they are as characters while having a "girl-next-door" look that feels normal, understated yet memorable.

The part that's truly baffling about the design of the main character in Intergalactic is how Naughty Dog instead of creating a normal looking woman they made her purposefully repulsive both in looks and personality, It was a deliberate choice because they have nothing but contempt for the player audience.

Does anyone think that the new ND game will actually sell well? It just looks like the same guardians of the galaxy retro futuristic aesthetic thats been used to death for the past decade. The sony faithful will probably buy it but I dont really see it gaining as big of an audience as tlou and uncharted. I'm hoping there's some type of leftover concord easter egg they were hoping to use as cross promotion lol

Will sony learn anything from astrobots success? If you let talented people make an actual game not just a walking simulator with combat that was dated in 2015 it will sell well and have critical acclaim? I haven't played astrobot the aesthetic bores me just constantly "hey remember all these cool games we let die and or shut down their studios, weren't they fun"
It will sell all right but I am sure the scope and budget will either barely break even or actually lose money. Of course GayStation shills will cope that it sold million despite the fact that shit probably costed half a billion.

i will be the willing guinea pig to buy and play through intergalactic when it comes out to let you know how it is. it'll probably be fine gameplay wise, 50/50 on the story content because it can be either or. until it comes out, we will never know

Goy was the second most purchased game on PSN in the month of October, in both US and EU regions, falling behind the dead franchise, Battlefield.
I played the first one and it was nothing special more enjoyable than ND slop and nu GOW but that's not much of an achievement the only playstation "exclusive" (it came to pc) I was interested in was rise of ronin but I can get all I need from a ronin game from the yakuza ones set in the meiji period and its actually fun

They brought Vince Zampelle in to fix Battlefield after how dogshit BF2042 was and BF6 sold 7 million units in 3 days, making it the biggest launch in the series' history. I still have no interest in the game but saying it is a dead franchise is a bit off.

I just meant that the franchise was dead, and has been for a few years. For it to come roaring back to life so well, out of nowhere, and then outsell sony's only exclusive this year is funny.

"Hey, remember when the ps2 was selling less than 2 million a year and then it randomly jumped up to 5 million that one year the ds was getting close and despite that massive jump, never sold more than 100k again? Actually, we miscounted this whole time. It was 10 million all along. This has nothing to do with the switch passing 150 million. We just waited to correct this 'mistake' until now by sheer coincidence."

"Hey, remember how we said that? Actually, in the span of a single year, we sold every single ps2 ever manufactured. There were zero ps2s damaged, lost, or stolen during shipment from our factories to our distributors. There were zero ps2s damaged, lost, or stolen during shipment from our distributors to retailers. Every single demo unit that was ever shipped out to be used as a demo kiosk in some middle of nowhere walmart? Eventually repackaged and sold. Not a single ps2 unit on earth remained in storage or unsold during that single year. Not one fell off a pallet jack behind some shelf somewhere. Ever. In the entire history of the console's existence. This sounds like a perfectly reasonable and not logistically and statistically impossible claim to us, so we hope you'll believe it too."

There are people who not only believe this, but stake a huge portion of their identity on this. Let that  really sink in for a moment.
