I don't think it is a bad idea for PS6 to have a focus on those two things, but, if it is coming out in 2027, that is way too soon. Cross gen would be even worse than ps4/5, especially if more devs targeted the Switch 2.

Best thing they could do, is wait for it to have a bigger power leap for a none crazy price, and when both customers and devs feel the need of a new gen.

Unless they drop the price of the PS5 and PS5PRO, the PS6 will be north of $899.

I think they're going to try and make a console that has software updates that unlock the power, not hardware updates. I also believe both the next xbox and PS6 will drop next year.

Which is why the deluded sonyfags who think modern day Sony will see MS put out a product for $1299 and release a console at $799 ($50 more than the ps5pro) is laughable. Of course, 20 years ago Sony would have gone for the jugular and launched a console half the price, but this is modern sony.

On a sony shill site, the shills are pushing the idea that the PS6 will be no more than $499, cheaper than a PS5.
That the PS6 handheld will be cheaper than a switch and more powerful than a steamdeck 2 while launching for $399, and it will outsell the switch!

Ironic considering normal Windows, specifically 10, already had an XBOX app pre-built into the OS on every new computer.

We're essentially one or two levels away from "Yo Dawg, I Heard You Like XBOX..."
 
The two times sony has been able to absolutely dominate a gen they did so by undercutting their competitors price-wise, with the exception of PS2 which was carried over by both dvd accessibility and hype we have yet to experience or see again. Doubling down on "4K! 8K! muh FRAMES" is a big mistake and a costly error. If they want PS6 to happen they need to rethink the whole roadmap because a graphical rat race to oblivion is not the way.

Cerny recently said that the PS6 won't be focusing on raw power like in the past and instead will focus on RT and AI...both of which need raw power, so fuck knows.

PS6 is Cerny's last console and I think he's done with Sony after Jim Ryan left.

Nah, if they can scam people out of $1k or more for a locked-down console with a stripped-down Windows NT kernel that just runs xbox shit but not regular Windows apps, they'll absolutely try it.

Are these people even living in the real world? I'm reading this, thinking "This bitch has completely lost her mind!". The PS5 already was way over the the mark with its pricing and what it was offering, this shit really reads like someone's delusion.

Modern Xbox wishes it could make something this cool & soulful. Which is saying something cause this was an official theme in collab with The Skins Factory.

If anyone wants any it, you can get the music player skin here, alongside the Xbox Live version. Here is their entire Windows Media Player skins catalog. This is the only thing of theirs with a download option, their desktop packs & icons packs are locked. Funniest part is, it's not even TSF's entire portfolio, they had even greater skins which can be downloaded (at least the WMP ones) thanks to archiving.

I need skeuomorphism back bros.... I hate corporate "minimalism" (it's not even minimalist, it's just lazy & boring) so much, it's unreal.
