"What are we, unfortunate PC gamers going to do as our platform of choice is being denied the privilege to enjoy the magnificent masterpiece that is Code Violet?! How will PC gamers cope with the absence of the artistry from such a stellar developer as TeamKill Media that brought us:

Well, I'll guess we'll have to make due. "

:story: LOL :story: LMAO :story: EVEN :story:

I remember the fanboys (like Dreamcast Guy) on social media hyping up Quantum Error because the devs said that it was only on PS5 because the Xbox was an inferior platform.
Didn't Yong Yea voice one of the characters? lol

Personally, I hope NaughtyDog works those wagies harder than a rented mule. I’d love for there to be yet another supremely polished turd (like TLOU2) to summarily dismiss as a 0/10. It makes me salivate when I imagine all the snoys and journos being forced to participate in a mad rush to give it praise, yet again, in hopes of avoiding the inevitable fate of its cultural impact just being something along the lines of:
and druckmann being completely ignored at the golden globes.

The AI censorship thing could get a lot worse than blood turning white. Imagine playing an old game on a PlayStation or Sony TV and it gets censored in real time. Gameplay added and destroyed, adds popping up when you don’t expect them too and even changing the plot to be more “modern”.

This is why you always keep the original hardware and software. Preservationist CHADS stay winning, "modern audience" keeps losing as they are dependent on the whims of their service providers.

Games media is wanting me to feel sorry for Naughty Dog, because Sony execs are starting to get tired of their shit. It's been nearly a year since the game Intergalactic was revealed and fuck all else has been shown for it. Sony's tired of losing money, and the poor down trodden devs are finally being asked to DO THEIR FUCKIN' JOBS. Oh, yes, games media Tell me again how actually working for a living sucks, you internet performative fuckin' Commies.

I feel sorry for neither side. ND have become lazy shits ever since Uncharted became big and rode off that success with TLOU and infested every aspect of SIE with the movie game doctrine. And the Sony execs are retards who are scammed at every turn by people who are slightly less retarded. A company using the name Bungie as a skinsuit was totally worth 3.5 billion dollars, guys! The future of Playstation is live service trash that will cannibalize each other like Concord, Marathon, and Fairgames? Let's plan to release 15 of those types of games while killing every AA game that carries the Playstation or Sony name because fuck variety. All we need is for any of these games to be as popular as Fortnite!

I'm getting rebate ads on my PS4 dashboard now, and not just for the shitty digital only PS5. I guess they must be desperate to up those user adoption numbers.

I recently updated my family’s old PS4 for the first time in years and found a giant permanent Spotify app on the home menu that can’t be removed. I guess having a video game system that specializes in playing video games and doesn’t shove a bunch of other crap in your face is a privilege that only those filthy nintoddlers and PCucks get to enjoy.

On an unrelated note, the PS Store crashed when I searched for “crash” :story:

This reminds me of one of the late PS3 updates that added a Singstar icon on the home menu and every time you boot the console it lands right on the Singstar icon.
...and of course you can't uninstall it.

AAA being slow makes sense. Let me explain what working in a modern company as a software guy is like:

"This product has a pretty glaring problem. We've hit all our milestones for the year, so I'd like to take a month to just sit down and fix it. Here's my plan of action."
"Erm no... we need to decide if we can allocate budget for that."
"Budg-...Budget? It's a solo job that'll take me four weeks at most to get done. We have no other major action items lined up other than general maintenance and stack upgrades, which [junior dev] can handle. I have no other work items lined up - are you intending to fire me?"
"Nonono, we just need to follow the scrum model and size a t-shirt"

ten weeks later

"Okay now that we're in a new fiscal year, we can finally work on that thing you wanted to do last year."
"Finally, okay it should still only take a month. I'll give weekly updates as I approach complet-..."
"Actually, we're going to spec out a proper timeline and assign out work items across ten different developers. Let's set a soft deadline of 24 weeks from now."

And then the overhead of having to corral nine other retards, have meetings about irrelevant implementation details, and try to parse sentences when Indians speak causes the feature to be late by an extra eight weeks.

Honestly, I'm shocked that gaming industry delivers anything ever.

I ended up cancelling my PS+ subscription recently due to me having over 50+ games bought and in my personal library, and they're largely single player titles. If I want multiplayer shit, I'll go to PC for it. I don't even use 25% of the "features" of Premium, so it's become virtually useless. Fortnite is largely unaffected by the multiplayer requirement (and that's really the only "live service" game I play, though I've ignored the last two seasons).

I don't know if it's 'cause I'm getting older, or if it's because I've become increasingly tired of paying for shit I don't use. I dunno, fellas, maybe it's just a combination of the two. I still enjoy gaming every now and again, but with the state of the industry now, eh. I'm just content in playing a lot of older games.

The older you get, the worse this gets. I think I've now played a grand total of four 2020s games and we're more than halfway through the decade.
