Something tells me I won't be getting a PS6... the lack of games, exclusives, the gimped industry in general, the shit economy, the tiresome soyny dieversity-isms, the fact that Bloodborne can now be played on PC and emulation in general absolutely slays modern shekel gaming... There's just nothing at all to convince me to buy the newest console, of any brand. None of them are worth it, and even goytendo's greed has reached parody, so I don't feel like supporting any of them.

Tough luck sony, I just downloaded a rom of Odin Sphere on PS2. And it looks cooler than any of your offerings.

Same here. I would get a PS5 just to play GTA 6 and the newest Gran Turismo. But I’ll just wait until I can pirate GTAVI in like 2027/28 and I’ll just emulate previous Gran Turismos.

Plus the ticking timebomb that is Liquid Metal. Fuck all that noise, I’ll stick to PC until they put me in the ground.

There's no reason tbh - no games are really demanding more power than you get on a base PS5.
I think there are some, like Silent Hill f. If the game is running below 1080p/1440p or 60 FPS, that isn't ideal. They could cheat and use PSSR (which will be updated to be based on FSR4 in 2026), but only on PS5 Pro and PS6.

We'll probably see at least around 1.5x to 2x the CPU and GPU (rasterization) performance between the PS5 Pro and the PS6, which will make your GTA VI or Fortnite run faster. The PS6 MSRP is likely to be below ($600) or equal ($700) to the PS5 Pro, so no reason for anyone to get the latter anymore (even if there are NO GAMES!).

Beyond that, features likely to be touted for the PS6 generation would be massively improved ray/path tracing performance compared to the PS5 (moving from RDNA2ish, to RDNA5ish), and the ability to use LLMs and other AI features. Especially if the PS6 ends up with over 32 GB of memory, that would almost certainly be for making it capable of running LLMs in 8-16 GB locally while still giving developers more than 16 GB of memory to work with. But what fooooorr? For stuff like this.

I don't see this being a popular feature unless Sony drops being strictly PG-13 and actively shitting on fanservice to Hustler-level sleaze.

Why have the LLM ray-tracing shit at all if the console can't run games natively at 4k? Abandon the idea of 4k and apply the RT etc to 1080p gaming to give us back some good physics and destructibility in games.

One of the many reasons I haven't bought a console this gen for the first time since the 80's is because they tout 4k as an achievement - and have their niggercattle believing a £500 PS5 is cheaper than a PC because the PS5 can do fauxK, when it's software lies and magic trickery. If they're willing to lie about that, then they have no interest in producing quality products.

To be honest though, going PC for the average Joe means having to contend with windows 11 home, and that's enough of a determent for it to be an issue.

Ahh, good, another company who will be busily sending out DMCA notices. Luckily at least a few companies will likely realize that random strings of numbers are not creative and are not subject to copyright.

PS5 private keys have been leaked apparently. It's joever.
The PS6 is likley to come out within the next two years. It's not like this is a total loss for sony. And I'm guessing you won't be able to play online if you pirate games, most people only play Fifa and Fortnite on their ps5's and maybe the odd single-player game so it's not the average console gamer is going to try this knowing they will get their account banned.

That's mean. It has gems like...uhhhh....
It has multi-platform third party games, and that is what people use the system for. Console gamers are casuals that want a box they can swap around twice a decade to play the latest software without needing to deal with bi-yearly incremental upgreades like a PC.

i would rather go all in on the ps5 than ever use win11 had i not already a pc in my possession (it runs win10, which isnt great but its not win11)

Been playing samurai warriors 2 recently, these last few months i've played 1, Urban Reign, Darkwatch and Bloodrayne. Emulation mogs the fuck out of anything Soyny can do currently. I used to be the biggest goddamn PS defender too, gave a shit about the console wars and everything. that shit ended as soon as the PS5 came out and i finally pulled the damn wool off my eyes and saw my PS for what is was. an ugly, overpriced, gameless Californian fucking niggerbox that retards, blacks and children use to flaunt to other retards blacks and children. Sony sucks shit and they have since the ps4 came out.

Can't wait for the PS6 to come out and be the exact same fucking thing. a disgusting looking paperweight to push DEI propaganda that niggers will parade around like a Porsche.

PS4 keys were leaked 7 years ago, I don't think its gonna effect them that badly unless they don't release the PS6 this decade
Yeah, it seems like another nothingburger for the emulation scene. Nothing really moved forward for switch emulation after multiple jewtendo leaks, and the overlap between people who can afford a PC that could in theory emulate PS4/5 titles and are interested in emulation in the first place is insignificant.
