Who the fuck cares about Halo or Gears of War anymore? Or Fable for that matter?

All of those games haven't been relevant since the 360 era. Why is Microsoft so allergic to making new games that people actually want instead of making more gay goy slop?
It's funny that Microsoft actually started replacing all the male leads (except Master Chief, at least not yet anyway) in their own games way before Sony started doing it.

At this point I doubt there's any talent left in their studios who could actually make an appealing original IP. If they took off the leash on the current crop of flunkies they'd probably just make another "dustborn" (which they already have with that nigger platformer one of their studios release a while back).

There has always been a type of woman who gets unreasonably pissed at people having unauthorized fun. This generation of them all went to college and now has twitter so the entire world can hear their bullshit, instead of just their long suffering husbands.

Call it political sperging but i believe the problem lies in taking women's words at face value like you would take a man's word, instead of accepting that they're just venting their frustration at the fact men are enjoying something that doesn't involve them. It's been literature, music, sports, gym culture, and now it's moved on to video games. We now have this arbitrary rule which demands all media has some sort of female representation even if it has no impact on the overarching narrative whatsoever.

I'm not opposed to female protagonists, some of my favorite games have them, but you can tell when they made a female protagonist because it fits the story, and when it was made purely out of spite and desire to replace a male protagonist. One of the most disrespectful examples right now is how they're trying to shoehorn Elaleth in the Legacy of Kain series, and how they're rewriting the entire story and defying the rules of the setting to make her work, trashing all of Amy Henning's effort to create a grand narrative that connected all games together.

Sony is in the same boat, and so is much of the rest of the Western industry.

It's no wonder more than 30% of game developers, predominantly in the West, and specifically in the US, got laid off in the past 2 years, with an even greater number of layoffs, and the trend not showing any sign of stopping.

There doesn't even seem to be a willingness among major companies to acknowledge there is a problem. So long as they're unwilling to admit their own employees view the customers as the enemy, and deliberately make games that are meant to spite and antagonize the very people that are supposed to give them money, they'll keep releasing bomb after bomb.

Not that it matters so long as BlackRock, Vanguard and Western governments are willing to foot the bill, but I sincerely doubt venture capital and government grants can keep the whole gaming, comic and movie making industry afloat via subsidies.

Once is happenstance, twice is coincidence, three times is deliberate action. And we've seen the same thing happen more than three times by now, even in the timespan of a single week.

It's gotten so bad people can tell whether a game was made by a Western developer or not simply by looking at what the female characters look like, since they all now share a homogenized, endemic look.

And when the games once again sell like shit, because nobody is buying a product marketed by ugly women, we're once again going to be blamed because we were not virtuous enough.

A few weeks ago woke nuthugger streamer Max Dood gave Stellar Blade a chance and ended up liking it, but not before disavowing it's sexier aspects as 'gooner shit no one ackshually likes unironically' (No Max, no one wants a hot woman, they want a fat, ugly slant like the one you married, right?), and saying all the controversy the game had was from being so Chud-coded by stray devs, and that the game is ackshually very California-coded instead, and not marred in controversy because of the LA-minded journos who desired the game fail because it undermined their entire "people want ugly relatable women in their games, not these bimbos and unrealistic barbies!" lies.

It's too realistic and not stylized, to the point it looks less like Wolverine and more like a retard in a costume pretending to be Wolverine.
Give me a hairy manlet with arms as big as his head and a suit that screams unrealistic swagger over what they actually made any day.
If they were so adamant on realism, they would've been better off going the Hollywood route of having him in a black leather suit with no mask, kinda like Jean Grey is shown in the same game.
