I'm starting to think they saw the Rockstar leaks and are now confident the next generation can be kept afloat purely by GTA Online and other live service garbage's microtransactions in the last days of this gen and the next. I personally think they are flying too close to the sun with this but we will see...

There's always going to be an audience of niggercattle to buy consoles, but there's a reason that they chose Sony's feed lot versus the other two. If they're just going to rely on rentseeking going forward, what do they expect people to get a PS6 over an Xbox Whatever The Fuck or Switch for?

Shareholders are starting to ask questions about the brand image and the fact that the boss himself sold a significant portion of his shares. We got a boost with the announcement of 100% digital by 2028. But not sure the forecast will be so good by the end of the month.

Well they did remove all the FF characters from KH3 and then put them back in with ReMind. I still think that was an awful decision

I can actually think of one recent-ish consumer victory based purely off of not buying the fucking product. That would be ATSC 3.0 tuners for digital broadcast TV in the US because the NAB(national association of broadcasters) tried to implement fucking internet access required DRM to watch broadcast TV. I don't think I need to elaborate on how fucking stupid that is.

Dumb consoomers are why we have the preorder bonuses, battle passes, subscriptions just to play multiplayer, microtransactions that aren't even just cosmetics anymore, 100 different streaming services, the subscriptions for features built into cars, it took government legislation to get phone companies to use one basic standard cable, etc. This shit goes way beyond just game consoles, because the dumb consoomers can't just not spend their fucking money and let a feature/product/company just fail.

If that were true then the sports game morons complaining every year about the same shit, would be seeing change, but they don't and continue to buy the same slop every year. The problem with voting with your wallet is that the millions of retarded consoomers must consoom.

The one time this shit worked in gaming, was the Deus Ex power up your preorder bullshit, because not only were people complaining but the preorder numbers were obviously low. And while Jim Sterling may think he had something to do with that, he didn't. Square/Enix simply pulled the trigger on retarded single player mtx bonus preorder and 3 days early bullshit sooner than everyone else did and now it's practically an industry standard.

The ATSC 3.0 broadcast DRM bullshit was driven to failure by enough people choosing not to consoom. Anyone having bought a PS5 having not realized this shit with online purchases on their console after the PS3 and PS4 is an idiot consoomer that has contributed what Sony is currently doing with regard to physical media and to whatever the PS6 ends up being. If as many people actually bought physical only instead of just what the incredibly vocal minority would have you think, they wouldn't have bothered with this shit yet.

Tens of thousands of people throwing a fit online is meaningless against millions of consoomers, and Jim Sterling is a tranny with a dead career.

Can't you just use a hacked PS3 to cheat in the online-locked trophies at this point?, i doubt the people ho's assigned to moderate whatever's left of the PS3 infrastructure even cares by now.
