Watched episode 3 and I feel like its not one the same level as the first one but still on par with the second one, I really like how much it shows the childish side of the boys with the whole terry thing being like inviting a friend over when you have really restrictive parents and with all the boys treated high command like their own mother plus the alien [or more accurately robot] of the episode was amazing, having a ai that just makes itself immune to the damage you deal to it is amazing I really hope we get a lore dive into it

I dont like how aburpt the episode ends since its not a satisfying cliff hanger, I feel like it would of been better to have the cliff hanger be bryce calling high command then the next episode shows the aftermath of him calling them

I think episodes work better when the squad has an actual serious goal and they go about achieving it in a stupid or weird way. Having a stupid goal to begin with makes the episode too low stakes. For reference I think episode 2 is the best in this regard.

The white kids going to flash the Bloods sign and when they show a close up of the hands they use a black guy was the best joke in the episode.

The funny thing is that the retard was still smarter than him. I feel like they went too far on that one because bryce is such an incompetent petty vindictive retard now its hard to cheer for him.

if the ai ever comes back I have an idea how they will defeat it
in the episode when the ai is hit with the hate mace or the lava there's a blue bar that fills in it's head to show it learns how to defend it
but when Chestnut hurt the ai's feeling there was no blue bar so psychological attacks would work

I think everyone was supposed to be petty and incompetent/childish in this episode because the theme was "little boys playing warhammer". Everyone was written as kids in this one.
eta - since the pilot episode the guys have been characterized as losers who can't do their jobs which I actually like. I think Rick and Morty started getting bad when they started giving Jerry the odd W. That's network sitcom crap that should stay out of any actually funny script.

Whilst I know that current era GW would never endorse this show in a million years, I like to think that the old one would. I know they’ve always been somewhat litigious assholes, but I can see the company that put out stuff like Gorkamorka loving this show and rolling with it. (I’m an old fag, leave me to my nostalgia).

As to the episode itself, I really liked it. It knows what it’s going for an just nails the tone. The not Flayed Ones all chanting ‘15%’ and the rest of the team knowing it was Hatemongers doing was great. I will agree with a lot of the other posters here that Hatemonger is the best written character. I also hope they keep Retard Terry around, even just as a background character, double tapping the Blood Angel expy in the balls was fantastic.

Bryce wasn't there when they showed up on Hatemonger's slide, the only way he'd know about them is if he was the one who put them there.

Hatemonger is pure in his beliefs and pure in his hate, I won't abide by you slandering him!

The squad leader threatens hatemonger to not fuck up the mission by threating to expose his vile "sins". If Bryce has access to titty pics to begin with he wouldn't need to access hatemongers account to get more.

Bryce is the technician, he hacked Hatemonger's account to download porn so he wouldn't get found out, the Captain has admin access and saw what Hatemonger's account was downloading. It's all a misdirection because the hackneyed joke would be to make Hatemonger a hypocrite, the Flashgitz guys said in their Q&A that they're trying to be above stuff like that with the dicks thing. In the patreon exclusive of the first episode all the guy's dicks are visible, and they said the low hanging fruit would have been to give Hatemonger a small dick, but instead they made him the only uncircumcised member if the squad.
 
I liked it. Feels like Chestnut, Hatemonger, and the Captain are the real main characters though. Bryce really only there to be a petty asshole since the first episode. They should play into him sabotaging others, not only because he should succeed, but others fail.

Nah, I kinda enjoy the concept. He’s competent in regards to building shit, but he loses sight of the end goal. He’s been vindictive and petty since episode two. The issue is that he feels like a supporting character. He doesn’t have enough beyond being a prick to his squad mates. There is no back and forth like with Chestnut and Hatemonger.
