A law student requires no delusions of grandeur to do good work. They don't need to fantasize about being special or useful, because they already are, and they did it with hard work and dedication. A CEO doesn't need to be Seto-Kaiba-kin to imagine himself as wealthy and powerful, he already is. The people who do this require an escapist lifestyle because their actual lives aren't what they want. Vade believes she's a god, because she'd prefer that to believing that she's a bitter, fugly stoner who dropped out of college to pick on high schoolers on the internet. Springtrapp wants to be scary and mysterious, but she's a chubby girl with bad skin. Nobody is afraid of her. Nobody thinks she's cool or interesting. So she loses herself in a fantasy of being what she wishes she was.

Hate to be THAT person but medication is usually a big part of treatment alongside therapy and lifestyle management depending on the severity and frequency of phases. I have horrendous mania phases and take anti psychotics alongside anti depressants for my mood.

What I hate about these kiddies is they often think the general mood swings that everyone has as a teenager means they MUST have BPD. It's not a mood roller coaster like they think it is. Episodes are fucking scary and at their peaks you'll often lose touch with reality. Either crumbling from depression or sky rocketing from mania.

Gonna add to what everyone has already said but if she had even a portion of what she claims to have, she'd be a fucking mess. She's taking a couple mild symptoms and declaring she has multiple life altering illnesses to excuse her bullshit. It's been said and done a hundred times over and will be done by a hundred more Tumblrinas. Though this back pedaling does put on a good show I will say.
