Mostly because they then get pity and likes by the other idiots on that webzone. See, liking a character is boring and doesn't get me the attention I crave, but if I pretend to think I am a character, then the likes come rolling in, like a ball of shit driven by scarabs.

It's still a side-effect of it. Socially awkward nerds can now make it how their socially abnormal hobbies have to be accepted because they saw some other awkward people with actual problems get away with shit and therefore they deserve to.

These types of things, people try to one-up eachother for sympathy points and the like and to show how special and unique they are, it isn't in fictionkin and mental disabilities but in most media and nerdy stuff, some people who enter the nerd life do so because of the attention oh so many people desire.

Yeah I definitely agree.

Another thing that sucks about the tumblr echo-hugbox is that these kids are satisfied with using their raging passion about these characters as useless 'otherkin' fuel.
That passion could be used for so many things instead of just some boring tumblr blog. People start off as supernerds all the time in the creative field and it sometimes can lead to them to having their own successful projects.

But this glorified roleplaying crap? It's just brain junk food that won't go anywhere.
A lot of these blogs look so lazy too. They just steal images instead of actually making their own art. What asses.

I thought it was generic northern sergal. Pretty sure it was part of a picture depicting the differences between northern and southern sergals. General Rain Silves, however, that sergal ain't.

Trancy Mick has generally been pretty okay with people having sergal fursonas so long as people credit him with the creation of the species. Don't think he ever anticipated people taking them as kintypes, though.

I've basically come to the conclusion that these type of people's motivation works similarly to mass in Newton's 1st Law. They want to sit there and fail and will continue to fail since no external force is acting upon them. They will only get into motion when a force is applied to them, be it actually experiencing hardship, facing trolls, or dealing with growing up. However, they also will operate on the heuristic of "path of least resistance"; dealing with reality is usually far harder than it is to just sit there online and type about how "opression" or "headmates" are affecting them in this case.

Alternatively, and another conclusion I've come towards is that the internet and free asspats are basically like a drug to them. It brings them closer to a flow state, and they can and will continue to indulge in the act, to the point where they will come up with all sorts of excuses and workarounds to continue to get it.

Ok, I need them to be crabkin and I will take them super serious because when you go crab it ain't no joke.

But seriously, this person is just the biggest attention whore I've seen all week. Also, if they have multiple personalities (which I think they claim they do, I wouldn't be surprised) if your boss finds out about that, I'm like 100% sure you'd be canned on the spot and possibly commited depending on if you pretend you have your multiple personality emerge during a conversation with a mental health professional. Like 99% of all this multiple personality shit is just made up garbage and the other 1% have very legitimate metal health issues and you shouldn't just go pretending you're fucked in the head.

And oh my God, fucking Homestuck characters that are canon gay (which I kind of think everyone and their grandma is bi in that comic after following it for a while) being shipped in a straight pairing is a trigger now. Self harm and gore are completly unstandable triggers but fathers being depicted positively? Do you think they seethe with rage and start shaking after they watch a wholesome sitcom with a loving father like the Cosby Show or whatever?

Ahahahaha, all the Pokemon and Neopets are gone. (Still some human Pokemon characters, but you can't win 'em all.) And the SCP guy!

How can the human soul adequately be expressed with only two Onceler variations and one "phone guy," though?

(Also, if there's rhyme or reason behind the cuts, please spill. I kind of lost track of the generic Tumblr joyboys on the list; it looks like maybe the cut stuff were the characters from higher-profile properties?)
